Beyoncé Knowles

Record. Album. Tour. That is how I keep myself occupied. In the mix of things I may throw in a couple red carpet appearances or photo shoots here and there. It just all depends.

My name is Beyoncé Knowles. I am 37 years young. I lived with my father for as long as I can remember. I never really knew my mother, but she's deceased. She passed away when I was real young according to my father. My dad was the only person I had. He managed me until years ago when I wanted to break through and discover my own person. He didn't like that so I had to let him go..... It's been almost 10 years now since I last spoke to him and seen him.

I am my own boss. I manage myself. Of course I have some help from people in different areas but for the most part I am my boss. I am the boss.

Tonight I have a show in Las Vegas, Nevada! I love doing shows because for once I don't feel alone. Not in that moment I don't.

I was locked away in my dressing room praying to my mother like I normally do before a show, when I heard a knock. "Bey? You're on in 5." I finished up my prayer before hopping off my chair.

"Okay. Be out in a sec."

I glanced at my reflection in the mirror one last time.

"You got this Bey. You got this..." I picked up my ear piece and placed it inside my ear before exiting my dressing room. I rounded the corner and was immediately hit with questions, cameras, lights, etc. I normally just nod my head.

My assistant handed me my microphone as I stood behind the curtains waiting. My makeup and hair team was doing last minute touch ups. I could hear the crowd as the lights went low. I started to become a little anxious. My mother's voice was the only thing in my mind.

The curtains went up as my anxiety went down. I smiled at the crowd.

"Hello. Las Vegas." I said into the microphone. "Tonight I want to start off with a song that's very dear to my heart. The way I'm feeling tonight.." I said as I shook my head trying to hold back my tears. "I feel it's only appropriate to start off with Halo."

The crowd cheered and I smiled feeling the love, and my mother's spirit in the atmosphere.

I gave Las Vegas all I had in me tonight and I know they felt my love in return.

I said my Thank you's and Goodbyes as I left the stage. I changed quickly into some comfortable clothes before getting into a truck that was now taking me to the airport. I saw all of my lovely fans leaving and I smiled to myself. Definitely feeling satisfied about tonight's show.

It was around 1 in the morning when I made it to the airport. I was helped out of the truck and I slowly walked onto my jet. I greeted the pilot and the flight attendants. I had just made myself comfortable in bed when I felt the jet lift up off the ground. I ate a little, and went over my schedule before I deciding to get some rest.

Another long night.
Another sleepless night spent in the air.
