Chapter 21

The confession

That scary eyes, especially that creepy smile totally gave me a shiver. I was freeze for a moment until I felt a light tap from my behind only to find out it was Wizus hand. I'm scared but I know I can't just voice it out.

"Is something wrong Gezeth?" he asked while eyeing me intently.

I only shook my head then plastered a little smile on my face then answered, "Wala." With the expression on his face, I can say that he is not satisfied with my answered but he let it be then put back his gaze in front.

May ilang lumalapit sa kaniya at nagtatanong tungkol sa ilang mga bagay na maski ako ay hindi ko maintindihan. But Wizus was only giving them a short answer. Habang ako ay hindi ko mapigilang manliit dahil sa ilang tingin na nararamdaman ko. Come to think of it, marami rin pa lang mga liberated na babaeng bampira na andito sa pagtitipong ito ngayong gabi.

While me, I am only wearing a simple dress that Wizus gave me. Lara tried to lend me a dress which Wizus doesn't like kaya naman natagalan rin ako sa pagpapalit. Maski nga si Lara ay naistress dahil doon. Habang ako ay walang magawa kundi ang magpatianod hanggang sa may isa na rin siyang nagustuhan.

It's just a white and gold kind of dress. Well simple, but elegant. Pero compare sa mga suot ng ilang naririto ay parang nasobrahan naman ata ang suot kong ito sa pagiging simple. Hanggang sa may isang lumapit kay Wizus at inanyayahang puntahan ang ilang lalaki di kalayuan sa pwesto namin ngayon. Wizus eyed me asking for a permission na sa tingin ko ay hindi naman na kailangan.

"You can go" nakangiting sabi ko sa kaniya. Ngumiti lang siya pabalik at binigyan ako ng isang halik sa noo bago umalis para makipag usap sa mga lalaking tinutukoy nung lumapit sa kaniya.

Lumalalim na rin ang gabi pero parang walang katapusan itong pagdiriwang na nagaganap. Isang beses kong muling inilibot ang aking paningin. Then my eyes caught Miss Rhian, she gave me a sign to follow her as our eyes met. I nodded and quietly followed her. Seems like Wizus didn't notice my leave, because he was talking with a lot of people not to mention na talagang napalayo na siya mula sa pwesto ko dahil sa sunod sunod na mga kumakausap sa kaniya.

I followed Miss Rhian until we reach the excluded part of the palace. As soon as she stopped walking, the expression on her face totally change like there was totally something, a serious problem that I am involve.

"What's the matter?" I asked her, giving her a confused look.

"Gezeth" she calmly mentioned my name while turning her back on me. "You know that we agreed to pretend as mother and daughter, right?" she started.

"I thought we'll talk in your house?" I said instead of answering her question.

"You're not safe here anymore" she said giving me a serious look.

"I don't know what you are talking about"

"You know what I am talking about!" she hissed.

I took a step backward which she noticed then she let out a deep breath and closed my eyes, then once again giving me a serious look.

"Sa kabilugan ng buwan, may makikita kang isang bagay na hindi mo magugustuhan" ani niya na hindi ko na talaga maintindihan.

"What do you mean? I don't understand what you are talking about at all!" maski ako ay hindi ko na rin mapigilan ang sarili ko na magtaas ng tono.

"Alam mo ba ang rason kung bakit ka hinahayaan ni Wizus na manatili dito? Sa mismong puder niya?"
