Why Can't We?

16~ Once upon a time

There are a lot of schedules piled up in the upcoming days and months and we were given a two-day rest before starting our schedules. So I just stayed in the dorm and slept all day because I know for sure I won' get enough sleep the next days.

"Unnie! Wake up! Sungjae oppa is here. He brought some ice cream for you... i mean us" Yeri shouted and laughed at the end.

Why is he here again? Ugh. I wanted to sleep and he is here again. I just can't believe him.

I walked out in the room and saw them gathered in the living room and watching the television.

"Yah! Yeri-ah do you really need to shout?" I said while glaring at her

"Mianhe unnie. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ" she giggled

"And you, why are you here again. You said you have a schedule today?" I asked him

"I have but it already ended and I decided to go here since you don't have any schedules and I will be flying in many parts of the globe." He said while grabbing my wrist to sit beside him.

"Jinjja. I don't know what to do with you" I said while my unnies and yeri give me teasing looks.

We had a little movie marathon that ended at around 12 midnight, so everybody told us they will sleep already.

"Hey, you still not gonna go home? It's already late" I asked him as I saw him dozing off in my shoulder

"Mwo? Aniya. I was just a little tired because of the event" he excused

"And I really wanted to talk to you... alone" he said nervously

"Well, what is it?"I asked him

"You see Park Sooyeong..." he said

"What's with the mentioning of names here? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ" I said giggling nervously

"I'm serious here Sooyeongie" he said while looking into my eyes

"Arraso. What is it?" I said

"The thing is that..."

You can do it Yook Sungjae. It's now or never. Ugh. Why am I so nervous?

"Yah! Continue what you are saying." She said

"I am nervous okay?" I said

"Waeyo?" She asked me worriedly

"Ugh. Nevermind" I said and stood up getting out of her dorm. But she grabbed my hand

"Yah! I didn't stay up late just for you to leave without finishing what you wann~~" I cut her off.

"I like you. There I said it." I said looking down not wanting to look at her. I am so shy now. What if she doesn't like me anymore because I am too slow

"Mw... mwo?" She asked confused at what just happened

Just eat me now floor. I can imagine her having a confused look right now. And saying that she doesn't like me now and I will be frie~

I was cut off with my thoughts when she said something

"I like you too but" she said and I looked up to her and I can't stop my self from smiling because of this feeling. I just can't describe it. I know she likes me but this from her lips.

"But what?" I asked

"I thought you and your ex are still seeing each other" she said while looking down like a kid who did something wrong

"What are you saying? I don't even talk to her anymore. It is you that I wanted to pursue Park Sooyeong" I said while getting closer to her.

"I've been liking you since then. I didn't realize it sooner. I know I've been such a jerk before but I want to make it all up to you. Can you give me a chance?" I said

My mind stopped working, my heart is beating really fast and I don't know what to do. Yook Sungjae just freaking confessed to me. He likes me too. Waaaaah. Is this even real? Am I dreaming? I should pinch myself

"Sooyeong-ah why are you pinching yourself?" He said pointing to my arms while giggling.

"Aniya. Just making sure this is not a dream or my imagination." I said and laughed awkwardly

"You are not dreaming Sooyeongie." He said while showing me those smile

"How? I mean how did you like me?" I asked

"I have thousand of reasons to like you Sooyeongie. But I guess it is because It's You" he said and pulled me into a tight hug

"I've been dying to do this since then but I just can't. Sorry if I took too long to realize." He said while hugging me tightly

At that moment I could feel his heart beating so fast just like mine.

We were both so caught up in the moment that we did not notice my unnies and Yeri are already looking at us.

"Finally, both of you already confessed" wendy said with a smile

"Oppa! I told she still likes you back. You should treat me" Yeri said and teasing Sungjae.

"Why are you all still awake? I thought you all slept already?" I asked them knowing of this embarrassing situation

"We kinda overheard your talk and decided to listen" Seulgi unnie said giggling

"Jinjja." That is the only word I could say

"Noonas and Yeri, I will leave now. You should rest now, I know you are all tired. Sorry for the disturbance" Sungjae oppa suddenly butt in our conversation

We bid our farewells and my members keep on pushing me to walk Sungjae oppa in the parking lot.

"So..." I started the conversation

"So..." he also said

We were in front of his car. He was about to go inside his car when...

I was about to enter my car when Sooyeeongie sudden cupped my cheeks and leave a peck on my lips and suddenly ran inside their building.

I was frozen of what just happened but I just felt my knees are like jelly and my heart is beating so fast and my stomach feels giddy.

This might be the start of our "once upon a time"
