Never Let Me Go

♥️Chapter 1♥️

Hunter never thought that, just a year after he arrived on Vivosaur Island, he would have saved the planet, let alone start dating someone like Duna. And to think, they used to be enemies, and Duna wouldn't have hesitated to kill him if given the chance. Then, everything changed for her in one night.

Flashback

"I saved you because I care about you!"

Duna was surprised by Hunter's reason for saving her. "But I am your enemy. Why wouldn't you have just left me to die?" Duna asked him, "Well, it's simple. I think that you're beautiful, and whether you're my enemy or my friend, I will do anything to protect you," Hunter said, causing Duna to blush. "I-I don't know what to say," Duna told him. "Then don't say anything," Hunter replied, leaning towards her. Alarms started going off in Duna's head. What is going on right now? Duna asked herself. She was unable to come up with an answer. For the first time in her life, she was completely and utterly confused. Before she could react, Hunter's lips were on hers, and her eyes widened in surprise. Eventually, she got used to the feeling, and her eyes closed as she melted into the sensation of the moment. They broke apart, and Duna felt strange. She felt like she was... longing for more, and she still didn't know what had just happened.

"What was that?" Duna asked him. "I kissed you," Hunter replied simply. "Can we do that again?" Duna asked. "Sure," Hunter said, and he kissed her again. Duna wasn't surprised by the kiss this time, because she knew it was coming. I could get used to this, Duna thought, I've never felt so alive! The second kiss lasted longer than the first, and Duna was enjoying every moment of it.

"Here, I want you to have this," Hunter said, holding out a pendant. "What is it?" Duna asked him, "It's a pendant. It's something you wear around your neck. Let me show you," Hunter said. Duna nodded and Hunter put the pendant around her neck and brought her to his hotel room so that she could see how it looked on her. "Oh my, it looks amazing!" Duna exclaimed, "It was my mother's," Hunter said. "Hunter, are you sure that you want me to have this? I mean, I love it, but if it used to be your mother's, I do not want to have it if you do not want me to," Duna aaid, "I want you to have it, to remember what happened tonight, and to remind you of how I feel about you," Hunter said. "In that case, thank you, Hunter," Duna said.

End of flashback

"Hey, Hunter?" Duna asked him, "Yeah?" Hunter said, "Do you remember when we had our first kiss?" Duna asked him. Hunter smiled, "How could I forget?" Hunter asked her. "I honestly have no idea," Duna replied. Their eyes met and they smiled widely at each other. "That night was the first time that I saw the flaws of Project: Mother Planet. If you had not discovered our plan, Earth probably would not exist today," Duna said. "Not to mention that Guhnash would probably still be out there in space, eating planets like they were cookies," Hunter said. Duna suddenly burst out laughing at what Hunter said. "What?" Hunter asked her, "You said eating planets like they were cookies. I find that absolutely hilarious," Duna said. Comprehension dawned on Hunter, and he started laughing too.

"Do you remember what day it is?" Duna asked Hunter, "Uh, I think it's Wednesday, July 15th," Hunter replied. "And?" Duna asked, "And it's our one year anniversary of being together," Hunter said with a smile. "Exactly," Duna said, leaning over to kiss Hunter. "I will never be able to get over the feeling of your lips on mine," Duna said happily. "That's great, because I'm not going anywhere," Hunter said with a grin. "Aww, you're so sweet!" Duna said. "You're sweeter," Hunter replied. Duna blushed again as she looked into his eyes.
