So today we are gonna talk about a LEGEND, a genius, and an inspiration.
I discovered his song when I was still little, I can't remember my exact age but I just know that I wasn't nine yet. I am pretty sure it was during one of the soccer world cups. Anyways my team had lost (Well it was the most popular team in the household, don't blame me, I've never watched any match long enough to make a decision for myself), and so the radio people were taking their break and so they decided to put on the instrumental version of 'Time to say Goodbye' I always thought it was a sad song but that never bothered me until that day, for some reason it brought back all my saddest memories and so I started crying. I never listened to it again until years later because I couldn't find it and I didn't know the artist's name but thanks to my awesome fangirl skills, I managed to trace it down, and I literally fell in love with all his songs. His life is inspiring, his songs are amazing, like... words just can't describe this... it's impressive.
Here are the lyrics if you want to sing along.
Time to say goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman
Quando sono solo
Sogno all'orizzonte
E mancan le parole
Sì lo so che non c'è luce
In una stanza quando manca il sole
Se non ci sei tu con me, con me
Su le finestre
Mostra a tutti il mio cuore
Che hai acceso
Chiudi dentro me
La luce che
Hai incontrato per stradaTime to say goodbye
Paesi che non ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te
Adesso si li vivrò
Con te partirò
Su navi per mari
Che, io lo so
No, no, non esistono piùIt's time to say goodbyeQuando sei lontana
Sogno all'orizzonte
E mancan le parole
E io sì, lo so
Che sei con me, con me
Tu mia luna, tu sei qui con me
Mio sole, tu sei qui con me
Con me, con me, con meTime to say goodbyePaesi che non ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te
Adesso sì li vivròCon te partirò
Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No, no, non esistono più
Con te io li rivivrò
Con te partirò
Su navi per mari
Che, io lo so
No, no, non esistono più
Con te io li rivivrò
Con te partirò
Io con te
