Tasha's POV

After hell let out I met Kaleb at my truck and he pulled me in by my waist and I giggled as he did so. He held me in his arms for minute and we got in the vehicle. He plugged his phone into the aux cord and started playing "Stay" by Mayday Parade and I couldn't help but smile. He remembered and still had the playlist on his phone even after the months of no communication. I drive us back to the house and put the vehicle into park. I started to get out but Kaleb grabbed my arm and pulled me back in. I looked at him and smiled. He looked at me with those blue eyes and he had me under his little "spell" like he always does. Those are going to get the best of me. We both got out and went into the house. I had to work tonight so when we got inside I grabbed a quick snack and went into my room to start my homework but then proceeded to fall asleep on my bed.

Kaleb's POV

I went in and checked on Tasha at around 6PM and saw that she was passed out asleep in the bed that we share even though she said there's a guest bed room in the basement. I saw he like that and I just smiled to myself. I went back into the kitchen and just started to make dinner and a snack for Tasha to take while she's at work tonight. I made sure that my phone was plugged in this time. I made pasta for dinner for the both of us and a sun-dried tomato sauce from a can because I'm not that fancy. I also decided to make some bread on the side with a little salad. At around 7:30 I went and woke her up. I walked into our room and saw her all curled up under the blanket and I went up and crouched down beside her on the floor and put my hand on her shoulder and kissed her forehead and said "Tasha its time for dinner". With that her gorgeous green eyes slowly fluttered open and I smiled at her. She sat up and asked, "What time is?" As she did this she stretched and I heard every single vertebra in her back snap crackle and pop as she did so, I looked her and I answered her question that hung in there air, "It's 7:30 and I made dinner for us before you have to go to work and a snack for you to take as well."By the time I said dinner she was already rushing to the get out of bed knocking books off of the bed. I picked up the books and stacked them neatly on the bed. I walk back out to the kitchen and see Tasha stuffing her face with the pasta and saw that the salad was already gone. I sat down across from her and couldn't help but chuckle to myself. To think that a few months ago I was trying to find myself, which I'm still trying to do today. A few months ago I was eating takeout and crashing in my car. When I got back my parents were nowhere to be found and I was relived. I know thats horrible for a child to think about their parents but I was truly relieved, they were gone leaving me to fend for myself which I have been doing for years anyhow but now that I'm living with Tasha that hole in my life has finally been filled. She's all that I need.

"Kaleb" "Kaleb!" I snapped out of my thoughts to Tasha snapping in my face. I looked at her and mumbled a "Sorry" and started to eat. I realized that she had to leave here shortly so I finished eating quickly and put all the bowls into the sink and said "You go get ready for work, I'll do the dishes tonight while you're gone." She smiled and nodded at me while I put all the dishes into the sink. She came out in a pair of jeans and a long sleeve black shirt with her vest over it. I couldn't help but look at her and smile not caring if I got caught for staring. I grabbed her snack which was in the refrigerator and handed it to her. I smiled and pulled her in for a hug and felt her relax into me. I loved the fact that she always relaxed into me whenever we hugged, it made me happy. I pulled away realizing the time and grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers and looked in her eyes for permission to do so, She squeezed my hand and grabbed all her stuff on the counter and I led her to my vehicle and drove her to work. We arrived and she looked at me with those eyes and they flickered to my lips, I knew what she was wanting butI had a big plan for our first kiss. I kissed her forehead and squeezed her hand and puled it to my mouth and kissed her hand. She looked at me again and smiled and said "Don't forget to charge your phone this time" I looked at her and said "It's been plugged in since I started dinner" and laughed. With one last look she was out of the vehicle and into Walmart. I drove off and back to our house that was finally starting to feel like a home to me way more then my own house had felt to me. I pulled into the driveway and put the car in park and just sat there remember those dreaded months that I was gone.
