Name

Jungkook couldn't sleep all night for his feelings were a mess after the small realization he made yesterday.

Now everything made sense. Why he never talked back to her when he clearly could. Why he never offended her or tried to harm her whenever she was bullying him. It was all because he liked her. Not only because she was a girl as he had excused himself to his friends.

But she definitely hated him and that was obvious, however, he had still to understand the reason.

He actually couldn't understand the reason why he liked her either. It was weird. Why would he like someone like her? Someone that does bad things to him. Someone who talks to no one. Someone that is always alone.

Maybe that was why. Maybe he didn't exactly like her, like her. Maybe he just felt bad for her because she was always alone and he had started feeling her pain just by looking at her cold eyes even though she rarely said a word.

He couldn't explain it, and it was absurd however he couldn't deny facts. He had dreams about her since the first time he had seen her. Dreams that he had dismissed, calling them a result of her bullying that was messing with his physiological state.

Nevertheless, he couldn't deny that in his dreams, she was never the bully. In his dreams, they weren't even in this current age. His dreams take place in a different time setting each time but they all had ended the same way, making him wake up covered in a cold sweat and a rapid heartbeat.

A dream that prevented him from ever going against her as he would remember it every time he looked into her eyes.

Her, dying in front of him and him being left with her blood staining his hands.

It was rather than a dream a nightmare. Something he really wanted to avoid, even though such a thing there was no way that could become reality. It still scared him.

"Good Morning Jungkook." A voice that talked to him, woke him up from his trail of thoughts making him get his head up from his desk, where he was waiting as once again he had arrived at school earlier.

He looked at her with wide eyes as her presence was unexpected, much more her polite greeting that was totally unusual.

"Good-Good Morning." He stuttered out of nervousness as his head fell back down, avoiding her gaze, a thing that made her smile as she approached her seat next to the window.

Jungkook couldn't help but take a look at her as she did so, noticing the bandages that were hugging her injured foot, the one he injured himself yesterday at the match. He couldn't help but feel guilty.

"Does it hurt?" He asked her, making her look at him, but once her eyes locked with his, he felt his heartbeat increase.

"I will be okay." She answered, a thin smile appearing on her lips for a moment before she turned around looking out the window the way she usually did.

It was strange, how every time she would do that, her eyes from cold would turn soft in his eyes. Like she was thinking of something that was saddening to her.

Somehow he couldn't help but catch himself wondering what her thoughts could contain.

---Time skip---

School had finally come to an end and Jungkook was about to head home, closing his locker carefully. But as he was about to make his first step away from it, he saw her approaching and his body froze for a moment.

Of course, she was going to her locker but somehow he couldn't stop himself from thinking that she was coming for him and recalling the last encounter they had in this place, he wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

He averted his gaze to the floor as he pretended he didn't see her and started walking. However, once he was going to pass her by, her hand grabbed his arm suddenly, making his breath to get caught in his throat.

"Wait for me." She told him before letting go and heading to her locker, letting him there unmoved.

He didn't know what to think but most importantly, he didn't understand why did he actually do what she asked of him, and waited for her to appear by his side again.

" Let's go." She told him, slightly patting his shoulder as she walked passed him, waking him up and making him follow her.

They were walking in silence, while Jungkook was wondering what was exactly going on with her, as he wasn't used to such behaviour.

It's not that she was friendlier with him, or something. She still had no facial expression on her face and no particular welcoming tone in her voice when she talked to him, however, the fact that she talked to him and hadn't yet done anything to him was making him feel troubled.

He couldn't help but feel insecure at every step he has taking with her by his side.

"I saw you staring at me a lot lately. Is there something you want to say to me?" She suddenly asked him, making his eyes grow wide as his heart started beating with nervousness.

What could he exactly tell her? He wasn't sure about anything.

"Am, sorry if it bothered you. I didn't mean anything by it." He responded, his eyes hesitantly looking at her.

"You mean, you have no reason? Not nothing?" She questioned again as they had stopped at a red light and she had turned her whole body to face him. Her eyes looked like they were searching for something as they looked at his eyes, however, all Jungkook felt from that gaze was his stomach becoming uneasy and his heartbeat louder.

"I am just looking out, you know, in case you do something." He responded, his right hand going to his neck, scratching it lightly in awkwardness.

At his response, he could clearly see that she seemed disappointed with his response as her eyes stopped looking with that slight hope in his and instead looked ahead to the now green light.

She didn't say a word after that as she walked ahead of him, not waiting for him to catch up to her anymore. Her footsteps became quicker and quicker till her figure was standing far away from him, and he just watched her back from afar, till she was no more.

He couldn't help but feel a wave of sadness rising within him as if he had lost a chance he shouldn't have.

If only he was a little braver when it came to her.

A strange urge hit him at that moment, making him start running in the direction she had gone, even though he wasn't able to see her anymore.

He passed through people barely avoiding crushing with some as he arrived at the stairs of the metro station and stormed down.

He was breathless when he caught a glimpse of her again, the metro sound reaching his ears as the transportation vehicle had just stopped before her.

He parted his lips to call her, but no voice came out as his mind was stuck.

She got inside and before the door closed she turned around, her eyes looking at the floor, a sad expression on her face as he took notice of a tear escaping her eyes.

But there he was. Unable to call out to her. Simply because there was no name in his mind to call her.

Her name was always called in the class by the teacher, every day, he had heard it multiple times, that was for sure. He knew that he knew her name. However, he couldn't remember it.

He had nothing to call her.
