I always assumed I'd feel something eventually, but now I'm sitting here confused as people my age start holding hands and finding someone to be with. I don't understand what people mean when they say their crush is blinding, and I can't relate when they gush about the butterflies and emotion that comes with it.

I feel comfortable with my label. My next couple chapters will be focused on my views towards things like shipping, and also my rants.

Anyways, here's a couple definitions for what I'll be talking about:

Aromantic (aro): Experiences little to no romantic attraction.

Alloromantic (allo): Experiences romantic attraction.

A-spec (Aromantic- or Asexual- spectrum): Somewhere between aro and allo, examples include: cupio, demi, gray..

Demi-romantic or Demi-sexual: Only experiences attraction after an emotional bond has been formed.

Queerplatonic Relationship (qpp): A non-romantic committed relationship between two or more people, varies between relationships. The people in one can be all aro, a mix of aro and allo, or even just allo people.

Peach Fuzz: When people in a qpp pretend their relationship is romantic to avoid questions.

Amatanormativity: Society's expectation that everyone wants a romantic relationship.

Aro ring: White ring worn on left middle finger.

Ace ring: Black ring worn on right middle finger.

Squish: A platonic crush on someone, really wanting to be someone's friend. May have similar feelings to a crush (i.e. wanting to impress someone, feeling jealous, wanting to be around them, etc.) but will not experience romantic attraction (a/n: I don't experience butterflies, so..).

Alterous Attraction: Somewhere between platonic and romantic attraction. Very confusing and annoying (a/n: In my experience it's been a strong desire for a qpp).
