Maybe I was sent to save you,
Maybe all those times
You screwed up
And I stayed despite
Knowing I shouldn't have,
Was all because I would be
Your saving grace.
The only one who would not
Give up on a hopeless case
Such as you and it was all
Because God made me promise to stay,
Even when you lit my entire body
On fire with sinister words
And deadly actions.
I stayed because He whispered,
That you would save me too.
And you did.
