Tails' Perspective
I felt a little better after a few months. I stopped crying all the time, but I still had nightmares. It was enough to make me shed a tear or sniffle.
I liked to isolate myself. It seemed like everyone was fine with it. They treated me differently though, as if I changed a lot. But I haven't, have I?
I decided to spend my time doing what I like the most: inventing. I thought I could probably at least try to invent something useful for The Resistance, especially since the war was getting worse. Unfortunately, I didn't come up with much.
Later, I decided that I should try to fix Omega, who got destroyed several months ago. If I couldn't save Sonic, I could at least save him.
Well, it didn't work. My brain must've been turned off for so long.
"Hmm, that should have done it... I couldn't figure it out for you, buddy. I'm sorry I wasn't smart enough," I apologized to the motionless heap of metal.
When I turned around, I saw Chaos emerge from a puddle and come after me.
"Whoa! Chaos!" I cried. "Sonic, help me!"
I shuddered and waited. I knew Sonic wasn't coming. He's gone, isn't he?
That's what I thought.
I heard someone jump and attack Chaos. Chaos sinked back into his puddle.
I looked in shock. "Sonic? You... you're alive!!"Sorry this was a little short, and that I can't come up with chapter names right now. XD The next chapter will be much longer, so get ready!
