The loving crimson eyes of the ones who love me

Chapter 14

Itachi’s P.O.V.:

While Pain as busy looking for the nine tails, my own personal mission was to find Kari and take her away from  Konoha, far away from Madara. I watched from a distance as Kari stood with the new hokage Tsunade. I saw Kari got to her knees, she looked like she was about to cry. It took everything I had not to run straight for her and take her into my arms and not let her go.

Kari got up, spoke of revenge. I couldn’t let her risk opposing Pain. When Kari darted off I chased after.

After a few houses I grabbed her from behind. I covered her mouth and knocked her out. She fell limp in my arms. I picked her up bridal style and quickly got out of Konoha.

No one noticed my entrance or exit. All of Konoha was too busy dealing with Pain. As I got about a hundred miles or so away from Konoha, I felt Kisame’s presence nearby. I ignored it and kept going in the direction I was in. Kisame came and started sprinting with me. For the next few miles he was quiet but his irritating curiosity got the best of him.

“Itachi…Why are you carrying one of our leaders? What happened to her? I thought Leader said Tsukiakari wasn’t supposed to leave the base yet?”

I glared at Kisame and continued going to my destination. Which is Sasuke.

Leaving Kari with Sasuke would be safer for now. Madara knows to stay away from Sasuke as long as I’m alive. He will probably try something anyways, but not right away. I know him too well. He is going to try to manipulate Sasuke further on the path of revenge. But I can’t think about that now, Kari is my only concern at the moment.  

“Itachi.” Kisame growled at me.

“Leave.”

“The base is the other way, shouldn’t you take her there?”

I stopped and jumped down to the ground. Resting Kari against a tree carefully. I turned to Kisame and kicked him through a row of trees. I went over to him and picked him up by his cloaks collar. I activated my sharingan and put him in a genjutsu. I waited a few minutes and let him out and dropped him to the forests floor.

“No one shall know about this.”

Kisame grunted but made no attempts to fight back. I turned and darted back to Kari and picked her up once again. After another two hundred miles, I stopped when I sensed Sasuke presence as well as the rest of his groups up another five miles ahead. They were heading in this direction and fast.

I placed Kari down on the ground. They would be here in about two minutes. I knew Sasuke would recognize her charka.

I bent down and place a kiss on her forehead.

“Now is not the time to take you away forever, but it will be soon, love.

----------------Time skip back to hideout ----------------

I walked into the living room and Kisame, Zetzu Hidan and Kakazu were sitting on some of the couches. Kisame wouldn’t look at me in the eyes. I went and sat down alone on one of the couches when Madara came screaming in as “Tobi”.

“KARI-SENPAI IS MISSING! KARI SENPAI IS MISSING!” Madara started running around in circles around us all.

“Have you searched everywhere Tobi?” Kakazu asked.

“TOBI LOOKED EVERYWHERE THREE TIMES! KARI-SENPAI IS MISSING!”

“I do not want to deal with Leader-sama when he returns. Hidan, we’re leaving to look for our missing leader.”

“Why the fawk do I have to go?”

“Cause I said so.”

Hidan started grumbling but followed Kakazu out of the hideout. Zetzu merged into the ground and left. Kisame got up and looked over at me.
