— jeongguk likes to think he's an open-minded person. he doesn't judge what people wear or what they do because as long as it doesn't negatively affect him why should he care.
so when his boyfriend of two years came to him with a secret he'd been holding onto for so long, he couldn't help but coo at the boy's pouty face when he spoke,
"m'little jeongguk," he said with a firm grip on jeongguks shirt, his brown eyes glossy from the tears threatening to spill,
"I know tae," jeongguk said smiling as he kissed his hand, "you left your sippy cup out last week, I just put it away and decided you'd tell me when you were ready"
taehyung hid his face away after that, cheeks rosy from the embarrassment but jeongguk kissed it away, "I love you regardless, I'll be and do whatever it is you need you just have to say the words okay?"
"t-thanks gukkie" he replied nuzzling his head further into jeongguks neck and sighed happily into the embrace.
and although it had taken a few weeks, taehyung finally came around to the idea of fully allowing jeongguk into the little world that he'd created.
over the course of the next six months, their house turned into taehyung's dream home. the cabinets were stocked high with the boy's hand-picked plates and sippy cups and the pantry and fridge were filled with his favorites. (figuring out what taehyung's favorites were was a trial in its own)
their entertainment system's dvd area was revamped with taehyung's favorite movies and shows and an overabundance of toys filled their room and the living room.
taehyung could fill up their king size bed three times easily with the number of stuffed animals he acquired over the short period of time from jeongguk and the five friends they entrusted with their lifestyle.
jeongguk learned very early on that spoiling taehyung too much in his headspace was just as counterproductive as it would be to an actual child,
the particular day in question was all planned out. from them making breakfast together to meeting hoseok, jimin, and yoongi at the zoo and finally their trip to the mall.
breakfast had gone a lot smoother than jeongguk originally anticipated. taehyung had helped diligently but patiently with the pancakes and cut the fruit shapes with the sweetest smile on his face. and getting him to eat almost the entire plate was a breeze and the two were all giggles by the end.
taehyung was uncharacteristically eager to wear jeongguks oversized hoodie and the light washed jeans he'd chosen to wear with it.
jeongguk couldn't help but coo as he cupped the boy's cheeks in his hands earning him an adorable smile in return.
