~*~Lewis's POV~*~

What the hell is that noise? I thought. Walking over to the window of my apartment. Sounds like someone is dying. I looked around the park outside. Nobody was usually out there this early in the morning. Well except for me occasionally, when I can't sleep.

She was by an old oak, knees pulled to her chest. My God was she noisy. 6:25 AM. Who the hell come to a park that early to cry? Curiosity got the best of me and I slipped on my tennis shoes and went outside.

"Are you alright?" I tried to sound nicer than I was currently feeling. It's not like she had woke me up of anything. I just didn't like the noise pouring from her mouth. She looked at me like I had lost my mind.

"Does it look like I'm alright?" She half smiled.  She was kinda pretty, minus the runny makeup and... wait what's on her wrists? I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"You don't have to be bitch, you know." She looked taken aback for a moment and then a huge smile spread across her face. She wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands, giving me a good view of her wrists again. Stitches?

"Sorry, bad day." Why is she still smiling? She slowly stood up. "I should go..." She chewed on her bottom lip and looked at her shoes, letting her long, chocolate colored, hair fall across her face.

"Uh, yeah. See you around." She nodded and turned to walk away. I almost didn't want her to leave. I wanted to figure her out. What in earth had happened to her arms? And why the hell did her smile give my stomach a flip. "Wait!" I nearly yelled at the poor girl. "What's your name?" Turning around, she studied my face.

"Carson... It's Carson."

"Lewis." She nodded, and then turned and walked away. Carson. I smiled. As I made my way back inside I allowed myself to feel hope. Hope that I would see her again.
