Bullying happens

Regardless of age

People think they

Are better then you

And so they

Get vicious

Like Rottweiler's

Off a leash

Teeth showing

Flaunting the

Superiority complex

Around like it's a gift

And who's the easiest target

If not an ill person

Someone who they can

Make easily cry

And laugh themselves silly

Afterwards

Transpose their own

Fledgling mental state

Onto someone else

And call them names

When in reality

They are making themselves

Look worthless

Like pieces of trash

Discarded into the garbage

Too rotten even for the recycle bin

To carry them away

The aftermath of such

Malicious torment

The person bullied

Has to pick up the pieces

But how?

When someone you

Almost idolized

Turns out to be

A vile demon in disguise

How does one move on from that?

And then you stop

And you think

About what you are dealing

With for real in your life

Your illness

And you slowly start to realize

What an insignificant bug

That person is in the greater

Scheme of things

Does it make the pain less that moment?

Probably not

But all is not lost

And you know in your heart of hearts

Who you really are

Despite some vagrant's blubbering

And this time

For the first time

Where I usually wish

For them to still have

The best life can give them

This time

I don't

Karma will have her day

I wash my hands, mind, heart, soul

Of this evil

And move forward

Away from the dark

Toward the light

Never looking back

One step at a time
