People who aren't
Chronically ill
It's hard for them to grasp
That those who are
Just want peace
If that means
An ending of a friendship
Or a partnership
Or a knowledge
Then so be it
Respect the person enough
To let them go
If one truly cares
Than they shouldn't
Make it difficult
Without that inner peace
It is hard to move from
Moment to moment
From day to day
Hour through hour
No one knows what's like
To be us
No matter how many books
You read
Or how many things
You watch
Unless you're in the body
Of the ill
The disabled
There's just no way
And none of us expect you to
We just want peace
We want hope
We want to be able to live
Not just merely exist
We want our hopes
And our dreams
To come out of storage bins
From invisible lockers
And rooms
We want to live our dreams
To become somebody
To make our families proud
To have families of our own
So please world
We just want peace
