Chapter 10

Yukai Bloodling

Five years pass and the girls graduated two years before. Ayoshi takes care of the shrine and the destroyed well while Kaede and Tenshi get married and have a child. Ayoshi knew Kaede was happy. While cleaning the well-house Ayoshi sweeps, keeping it look nice inside besides a destroyed well, Ayoshi hears wind coming from the well. She walks over to the well and stares at the rubble. Wind comes from it and her ears flicker with wonder. She removes most of the debris and finds that she can pass through.

She debates trying to go through. And she trips on her shrine keeper outfit and falls forward into it. She passes through time and finds her at the bottom of the well. Small bits of light come through the wood and grass in the opening. She focuses and explodes the debris and she climbs up to the top. She looks around. Moonlight seeps onto her. She climbs out and she looks around. She hears familiar footsteps and she turns as her eyes widen.

Sesshomaru stops when he sees her standing there.

"Ayoshi." He says. Her eyes fill with tears and she hugs him before he could do anything. She hugs him tightly and she cries while hugging him.

"I missed you so much. I couldn't stay away. I thought the well was locked up and that I couldn't return her, but I think it magically opened again." She says.

She keeps hugging him and she gasps when he hugs her back.

"It seems the five years separated made me really think." He says.

"What do you mean by that?" She asks.

"Bakusaiga answered my request." He says.

"What?" She asks.

"I told it that I would need it a lot to protect you. I wanted to protect you. But I guess it sensed that I had a tinge of love in the heart I wanted to stay ice. You melted my heart Ayoshi." He whispers and looks at her. Her eyes widen and she closes her eyes and she hugs him around his neck and kisses him slowly. He slowly tries to kiss back and ends up just closing his eyes as well.

'Someone you wish to protect.' Sesshomaru's father voice says as it's carried on the wind as if a ghost. Sesshomaru slowly kisses Ayoshi back and when they stop kissing she smiles. She freezes and she gasps and he looks at her shocked. She begins pulsing and she falls back and he grabs her. She lays there not moving as she pulses.

'With the ability to change full demon?' Ayoshi's voice asks.

'That's not how it works.' He says. Rin's voice a heard.

'You don't even know the greatest thing your mother gave you do you?' Rin asks.

"You've come to that age." A voice says.

In Ayoshi's subconscious mind she wakes up. Ayoshi looks and a white haired lady looks at her. Ayoshi freaks out.

"Mom!" Ayoshi says.

"You found the answer." Harumi says.

"What answer?" She asks.

"Of why I set Sesshomaru with you. You were the only one that could get passed that ice heart and melt it. I knew you could do it, I thought friendship was enough so I asked him to be the one to protect you." Harumi says.

"But I don't know what the greatest gift you gave me is." She says.

"I gave you the gift to become a full demon to live beside Sesshomaru and never die." Harumi says.

"What?" Ayoshi says.

"Ayoshi look at your hair." Harumi says.

"Ayoshi looks at her hair and sees that she had longer hair. She gasps as twirls around and her hair flies up.

"How does this happen?" She asks.

"This is how you are a demon now. Go, live long with him my daughter." Harumi says and she blows dust at Ayoshi and Ayoshi sneezes and wakes up in Sesshomaru's arms.

"Ayoshi?" Sesshomaru says. Ayoshi places her hand on his cheek. She smiles and laughs.

"The greatest gift my mother gave me is that I would be a demon with you. I have complete control." She says.

"I can smell that." He says and she stands up.

"I smelled a demon." Inuyasha says and Ayoshi looks at him.

"Must have been me." Ayoshi says and Inuyasha blinks confused.

"What?" He asks.

"My mother's greatest gift that when I fell in love I'd become like the one I love." She says.

"I knew it." Inuyasha says.

Within three years Sesshomaru and Ayoshi are married, she made a swear that only way she'd love him forever is if they got married. Ayoshi gives birth to a nephew for Inuyasha to complain about, which he did. Sesshomaru trained his heir the best he could, but Ayoshi just wanted little Inu Tenshi to be a child, which he did. When Inu Tenshi was a year old, Ayoshi had a daughter as well and the family lived happily together.
