Promise-Erwin Smith x reader

"Erwin!!"

I scream letting my cool guard down and running to where he is, a few of our cadets helping him get on a wagon. "(Y/N) calm down, I'm alright." without realizing it, I begin to cry and hug Erwin, "I thought i'd lost you." just moments ago a titan bit off his arm and I thought him dead.

 "(Y/N), he'll be alright." Hanji tries telling me and they take us to treat his wound. After treating his wound, Erwin fell asleep and I remained by his side.

"Is Commander Erwin, alright?!"

Eren Jaeger comes running with everyone of the cadets behind him. Levi stayed silent seated in the far corner of the room.

"Jaeger! Shh!!" I try quieting him down but he begins asking many questions but later stayed silent when Levi glared at him. "Erwin will be fine.." I smile over to Levi who's staring at Erwin. "He's as strong as Levi after all. Everyone don't need to worry, once he wakes up i'll let you all know." everyone nodded their heads and silently left the room.

"Levi..I'm putting you and Hanji in charge for now on. Make sure everyone is safe, it won't be long before they come and start interrogating us." I stand up and stare at him. "Without Eren being able to use his titan form we're useless, but it'll be a lot more useless if they kill him. The boy needs to find out why he isn't being able to transform..so i'm sure you'll be the one to help him."

Levi nods his head and begins to walk out of the room, "Be careful alright..It'll be a shame if I lost you too." I tell Levi wrapping him in a hug which I know he hates.

Levi stays silent then looks at me. "I'll do my best commander (L/N).'" i let him go and he leaves leaving me and Erwin alone.

"Is he gone?"

"Yes.." i whisper back then turn around to meet his blue eyes. I walk over and sat down next to him, moving some blonde strands of his hair away from his face, "Don't ever scare me like that." i lean down and rest my head on his chest. I feel his hands rubbing my back. "You know what they'll do next right?"

I nod my head and only hold him closer, "The military will be disbanded because of this..they'll arrest us and they'll most likely kill us for thinking we're betraying them.". I sit back up and grab his hand and kiss it holding it against my cheek.

"Do you remember what I told you? About my father?" i sadly look at him, nodding my head. "I do..and i believe in every word he said. There's no doubt he was wrong about his theory.." Erwin chuckle and gives me a small smile.

"All these years and you've never changed. You've been right by my side even when O tried pushing you away."

"You know why I haven't left..that promise you made when we were kids..that you would marry me-"

"(Y/N), you well know the reason why..if someday I were to die. I don't want the person I love the most to mourn over me." i look away from him and try to not cry.

Hanji came everyday to see how we were doing. Hanji along with Levi were hiding out Eren and the rest of the cadets from the military police. She came in to say how Christa and Eren were captured. "They must save Eren before they reach the capitol." i pace back and forth in the room and Erwin places his hand on my shoulder making me stop.

They announced every one of us as a criminal. "(Y/N). I'm ordering you to leave with Hanji at once, I won't let another one of my comrades be in danger.." Erwin says raising his voice at me.

We've trained together, we've grown together. I refuse to let Erwin Smith die! I glare at him, "I refuse to leave you alone!"

Erwin clenches his fist and angrily looks at me, "Don't you get it?! I'll get hanged and you'll also die to if you stay-"
