Article 13

Okay so, this is a really important issue that needs to be talked about.

What is Article 13?

Article 13 is a law created by the EU or Europe's Government. To sum all the lines of rules, it might change the internet we know and love.

For starters, it might ban fanworks such as fanfics, fanart, and memes.

I think MatPat did a good job explaining how bad the situation is! Understand that if one policy applies to several Europian countries, it may apply to everyone. This article is bad as it is and what's worse, it's been approved and is in the act of being voted for. Look, many YouTubers will be affected by this new law as it will not allow them to have creative freedom. There are literally forced under that law not to use or talk about certain things if it is copyright. Fanworks is where it gets sticky. Fanfiction is literally what it means, a fan writing a story about their favorite book, movie, character, etc! These things are under use by their rightful owners, we legit might be sued for this! Although, I have heard Wattpad is against Article 13. Not much can be done now but, we can hope for it not be passed. We need that law to not get passed at all! So I propose we share the message of Article 13! At least, let the Government know how bad this will affect the Internet!
