That's what he did.
Using his free hand and the rabbit, he picked me up by my bottom and started shoving me headfirst into his mouth. I screamed like I never screamed before.
I was gonna die.
I tried to stop myself, but he was too strong. Before I knew it, I was sliding through a bunch of wires and getting cut on gears sticking out.
Instead of getting chopped up and killed, I fell into a tiny metal box. It was pitch black, cramped, and the only thing keeping me warm was my own body heat.
Just then, I heard the door swing back open. Through what I think was the bear's tummy, I heard the two men talking again.
"Rob, what is it?"
"I swore I heard, like, a scream right after we left."
"You sure this job ain't getting to you?"
"Charlie, I heard what I-"
Then I heard a walkie-talkie go off.
"We need all staff up front. There are two children missing, one happening to be the owner's daughter. I repeat, we need all staff up front."
The other kid was me. I knew it.
Their footsteps faded again, and the door slamming was my signal that there was no hope for me.
The metal wall in front of me opened after the two men were long gone. I fell to the floor, and cried hard. I turned to look back at the bear and rabbit, and their cold eyes stared back at me.
This trip wasn't worth it. I wish I had never left. I don't want to be the bad kid anymore; I just want to go home.
I bet my parents are worried sick. I bet I will die here.
