It'd be nice to say that I didn't start looking forward to my shifts at Willis'.

After that first month, you began popping up, making an appearance every couple of days. At first, I was wary of why a guy like you would show up more than once at a fast food place functioning at the bottom of the food chain, but I learned to allow that to slip from my mind over time.

At the beginning of every shift, I couldn't help but wonder if you'd show up. You always smiled, always walked with confidence, but not arrogance. I've never been one to lie to myself-you
were undeniably attractive. And it was nice. It was nice to see you, even though I didn't know anything about you beyond your name and the fact that you had a strange hankering for food at midnight.

It was weird. But that was okay.
