I slowly got up and walked to the bathroom. I shut the door and turned my head looking at my back. I saw two slits in my back. I rolled my shoulders and two black and silver wings sprouted from them. I gasped when they retreated.
"Zak?!" I asked as I cracked the door.
"Yes?" He said as he walked closer.
"Can you come here for a moment?" I asked quietly.
He looked confused, but nodded. I opened the door wider and he walked in. "Look." I said as I rolled my shoulders again and my wings popped out.
"Holy shit!" He whispered,"Why didn't you tell the doctors?"
"Because I didn't think it was real." I replied sadly. I drew them back in, and we both exited. I huffed and walked to the chair by the window. I curled my legs under myself. I stared out the window getting lost in it.
