Chapter 15

"Sensei!" We exclaimed.

"Prove your identities," Sensei told us.

"Y/N L/N: Genin of Kirigakure and Konohagakure, student of Zabuza Momochi, 13 years old, I assassinated the bridge builder Tazuna with the help of Zabuza and Haku Yuki. Daughter of Tsuki L/N and Dean L/N, Azusa L/N (Suna-019) is my sister, Keita L/N (Kumo-052) and Gary L/N (Kumo-053) are my brothers, and Suigetsu Hozuki (Kiri-187) is my boyfriend."

"Suigetsu Hozuki: Genin of Kirigakure, student of Zabuza Momochi, 13 years old, brother of Mangetsu Hozuki (Kiri-084), wielder of the Executioner's Blade after Zabuza-sama's death, descendant of Gengetsu Hozuki; Y/N L/N (Konoha-012) is my girlfriend."

"Azusa L/N: Genin of Sunagakure and Kirigakure, student of Zabuza Momochi, 15 years old, sister of Y/N L/N (Konoha-012), Keita L/N (Kumo-052), and Gary L/N (Kumo-053), daughter of Tsuki L/N and Dean L/N."

"Wonderful," Sensei declared, "We will now return to our hideout."

We arrived at a large cavern. Inside was a group of strange-looking individuals.

"Welcome. Kisame, you've brought the new recruits?" a man with orange hair and—the Rinnegan eyes?!—asked Sensei

"Yes, Leader."

"You will now be tested. You three. Young man, you will be tested by Sasori," Leader commanded.

A man with very red hair walked forward, somewhat mechanically. Suigetsu walked toward him and bowed politely. Leader nodded toward them, and Sasori led Suigetsu away.

A woman with purplish-blue hair walked up to Leader's side. He then told Azu that she would be tested by the woman, Konan. Konan and Azu walked into a different room in the cave.

"Finally, you," I gulped slightly as Leader turned his intimidating Rinnegan gaze upon me, "Itachi will test you."

Oh. Sasuke's brother.

Itachi walked up to me and nodded. I bowed politely in response. He motioned for me to follow him. I walked behind him confidently, but not quite arrogantly.

He turned around.

"Y/N L/N. You will now be tested to see if you have the skills to join the Akatsuki."

"I'm ready, sir," I replied, unsure how to address Itachi.

"No need for such polite terms," my superior responded, "Now, come at me, full power!"

I summoned weapons. My typical setup: a kunai in each hand with a shuriken per knuckle. I ran towards him, poised to attack. He jumped back, and I continued to pursue him, throwing four of my shuriken. Of course, being who he was, none of them hit him immediately; however, one of my shuriken ended up behind him, after being knocked there by another. I brought it forward, and it managed to hit Itachi's upper arm on its way back.

Seemingly shocked, Itachi turned to look at his injury, and I took the opportunity to use my enhanced Water Dragon Jutsu. It hit him in the back. Apparently he wasn't expecting boiling water!

"Itachi!" I called, "How much do you think I know about you? What would you do if I told your beloved brother what you've done?"

He seemed rather uncomfortable with the question.

"Oh, I know all about you. Danzo made you kill your Clan. You told him—and a strange Uchiha in a mask—that Sasuke wasn't to be harmed. I have a feeling you've got to keep me here! Now that I know all of this, I have the potential to give you away!" I smirked.

"I suppose I do," Itachi beckoned to me and we walked back out of the room.

"Stay here," Itachi told me.

He walked toward Leader and the other members.

Time skip~ to the end of Itachi's conversation with Leader

Suigetsu, Azusa, and I were brought to the center.

Leader cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

"Suigetsu Hozuki, Azusa L/N, and Y/N L/N, do you promise to remain loyal to and uphold the ideals of the Akatsuki above all else?" Leader asked.

"I do," Suigetsu, Azu, and I chorused.

"You three are hereby inducted as members of the Akatsuki."

I smiled slightly.

"Suigetsu will be on Kakuzu and Hidan's team, Azusa will be on Sasori and Deidara's team, and Y/N will be with Itachi and Kisame."

Weeks of training later~

"Itachi, Kisame, and Y/N, you have a mission. Retrieve the Nine-Tails from Konohagakure."
