THE NEXT DAY, all hell break loose.

My mom went rampage, my dad were giving me a silent treatment, my grandma were scowling at me and my grandpa rarely ate breakfast which is a bad thing.

You know why they're acting like that?

It's because of me.

Apparently, there's news about Chris and I dating and it was a trending topic on the media today.

Someone took a picture of Chris and I holding hands and went in to McDonalds.

Gosh, I didn't knew that I was that popular and well-known..

Of course, my family were not okay about it.

My family owned a successful3 company and they were afraid that this news will ruined its reputation.

I sat down slowly and looked at my grandparents.

"Hailey, you know what to do." My grandma said or should I say my 'abuela'.

Which means she wanted me to end the relationship I had with Chris.

"Okay.." I muttered.

Liar, liar pants on fire.

My grandpa looked at me and gave me a disappointed look.

I wanna say 'what?' rudely but that will cause a big trouble and I already have one.

"But why?" I shot back.

Suddenly, my grandparents and my parents were tense.

My grandparents looked at each other and then shook their head.

"What's going on?" Mandy asked.

For once, she became a decent girl.

Silence filled the air.

Even Mandy looked at me and then shrugged. Then, she smirked.

Oh my fucking God. I'm gonna kill her!

She's the one who took that picture!

If she didn't took that picture that has me and Chris on it, we would be safe! And it will ruined that goddamn reputation too!

Ugh!

"Excuse me." I mumbled and went upstairs.

Then the she-devil followed by.

"Well, hello there Hailey." She said venomously and I looked at her.

"You're the one who took the picture, am I right?" I asked and she smirked.

"Of course duh. I'm gonna make your life a living hell." She said and stared at her manicured nails.

"You dumbass bitch! What's wrong with dating him?! Don't tell me you liked him?!" I yelled and she rolled her eyes.

"He's our rival, idiot! He's from the Peterson, are you dense or what?!" She said. "And I don't like him! You cow ass bitch!"

I almost laughed at her colourful vocabulary but now was not the time.

"I don't care! Mind your own business!" I screamed and ran upstairs.

"One day, you will regret it!" I ignored her and buried my face on my palms.

Bitch.

I went to my bedroom and open the blue sky hatbox.

I kept staring at the polaroids of me and Hadley.

Those were the best memories in my life.

A tear falled down my left cheek and I wiped it roughly.

"Ughh.." I groaned quietly and pushed away the hatbox from me.

I crash down my bed and closed my eyes.

Then, a sudden idea came over me.

I went to the bathroom and shower for five minutes.

I'm so lazy..

I put on a casual jeans and T-shirt then walked downstairs to the gate.

Fuckety.

There were so many bodyguards.
Now I can't sneaked out!

Right, there's a back door.

"Seriously Hailey? You're so lame." Mandy snickered.

"Shut up and go back to your player boyfriend." I shot back and she suddenly shivered.

Mandy had it all.

Popularity, beauty, boys and more.

But there's one thing that she didn't had.

Family.

Her family were cold towards her and that's why she envied me.

I had the perfect family, that's what she thought.

But I didn't. Hadley is gone and my parents grew distant on me. I didn't knew why they need to do that but I brushed it off and acted like I didn't care.

Mandy dated many boys.

But her current boyfriend named Nick is a player yet caring towards her.

Once, Nick and Mandy went to Mandy's room and did their business. After that, Nick went to the bathroom and I accidentally heard that he had another girlfriend.

Mandy knew it. But she doesn't want to broke up with him because he cared about him even though he had another girlfriend.

I facepalmed myself and glanced at her.

A tear run down on her left cheek and she wiped it away with her finger.

"Ugh, there's a gala tomorrow night." Mandy said and walked in the house.

A gala? Seriously, grandma?

Grandma always invited us to the gala when there's an important guests.

That means..

That means the Petersons were coming at the gala! This is so fucked up. My life is doomed. I just wanna bury myself in a hole and hide there forever.

I went back to my room and sighed while closing the door.

Might as well prepare a dress for tomorrow night.

I picked a long dark red satin dress that reached on my feet. I hope that I didn't tripped all the way to the gala.

I lay on my bed and closed my eyes, thinking about Chris and tomorrow night.
