Inside of the hidden study of the Fortem Manor a teenager with dark brown hair and soft hazel eyes were working meticulously on a device he discovered within his memories.

"To think that another world God created could produce such a complex item without magic is amazing..." He muttered.

The name of the young man was the Leon Fortem, after being falsely accused of rapping the princess of Phobos he was killed and sent to the Divine Elevator, a place where souls are whether reincarnated, damned, or blessed. After meeting God he was given the Blessing of Knowledge before being sent back in time 3 Years before his death.

Ever since then he's been gathering resources throughout the kingdom for the sake of creating and testing theories and devices found within his new reservoir of knowledge. This dumbfounded his father since ever since his son was able to speak he was known to be incredibly incompetent.

As Leon continued to tinker with the prototype he was creating, the sound of someone's knuckles knocking against the door resounded throughout the room.

"Time to eat, Young Master!" A butler named Rudeus said before entering the room.

Rudeus was as a B-Class Magician that had retired early at the age of 25-Years-Old. Due to lucky encounter, he was saved by Noel Fortem, the late wife of Nathaniel Fortem, a year later. Hearing word of death he attended her funeral before becoming her son's butler 3-Years-Later. Since then he served her son faithfully and guided him better than even his father could. Due to him always doting on Leon and guiding him down the correct path, Rudeus was always considered to be an old friend rather than a Butler.

"Thank you again Rudeus," Leon said as he received his meal.

Staring at the incomplete gadget laying on Leon's desk as he ate his meal, Rudeus thought to himself, "What kind of object could he be building?". Noticing his curious gaze, Leon stopped eating before telling him, "For the past week I've been tinkering with a new idea. What if I can create an object that can keep count of time." said.

"Interesting... can you show me how it works?" He asked.

Responding, Leon hurriedly worked on the pocket watch before setting the time and giving it to him.

"It's a prototype made out of Iron so make sure not to handle it roughly. To open it just press on the button. I also added a chain to it so that it can be either worn as a necklace or attached to a belt buckle." He said.

"I understand, but how do I read it exactly?" Rudeus asked a little confused at the concept of reading time.

"The clock and its measurement of time work like this, 12 representing noon, the beginning of a new day. Making 8 representing the time the sun comes up and the time it falls. An entire day represents two cycles of rotation, any interval of time before 12 is considered to be morning whilst anything after is afternoon..." As Leon began explaining everything his father who had been working in his office pondered about his son's future.

"I guess it's time to enroll him into the Royal Academy..." He muttered.
