My Name is. . .

8 4 2

I live there and here.

I dwell within.

Every place you step, I will beside you.

I am the innocent and the old.

I have been given millions of names,

I come in the whisper of calm winds,

I am quiet sunlight at dawn,

I am the soft laugher of a child,

I travel on the wings of dreams,

A silent moment of understanding and rejoicing

Announced by the ideals and wishes
or the uplifting song you were not expecting.
I visit needy and the distressed in their time of greatest lows
I inspire back what weakens or dissolve

I break the darkness of gloom and restore the spirit.
Your longings and will are my delight
With your strength and friendship you invite.
I am the savor you could not have seen
The champion you did not know you had
A carry on as your family or your friends
Sometimes I am your co-worker.
There is a light to save you, to defeat your monsters hiding in your closet
There is a shield to protect you from those ghosts beneath your bed
The nightmare will not take you.

You will have sweet dreams!
These are gifts to you from me.
I love you with all my heart.
With you I am alive!
Can you hear the music on the wind?
Do you recognize the tune?
Is it you my friend, your struggle to find a way?
Never fear.
But I am not a fib.
I will deliver you in these dark times.
None shall be harmed under my keep.

I will be with you.
Joy is my gift with faith to support.
I am peace and minds made still
with inner strength.
I am your secret wish from others
I am your secret wish for them
I have not one name but millions
But you... you may call me Hope
And I am pleased to make your acquaintance.
