here are some notes as to why i chose such an odd theme and concept for this applyfic which, i hope, will not flop.

✞┋ inspiration for this applyfic

it would totally be vocaloid and anime. i got the whole idea from the vocaloid song "karakuri burst" and the dystopian theme and setting from "attack on titan."

i have been thinking of doing an angst applyfic for some time now, i just didn't know what group i was going for. but when i rememebered about how black on black gave me powerful vibes, i was like, "alright, nct it is, homie."

✞┋ what is 400th e.d.?

it's a year i've set in which it's kinda, like, ancient fused pre-modern times. people usually live life here in sanguis without the help of technology.

✞┋ what is sanguis like?

sanguis is a corrupted kingdom ruled by king iramortem. i refer the whole world here as terra, but it is still earth, get it? lol. iramortem colonized other lands, which means he is the ruler of those foreign lands as well; sanguis is composed of diverse people.

✞┋ the karakuri system

previous kings and queens who ruled sanguis already manipulated karakuris as their defense mechanisms. people are kidnapped and their memories are wiped out, only to be filled in with drugs that heighten their senses and strength. they only take orders from the ruler(s) and that is their mere objective: kill people.

✞┋ how do karakuris kill?

they are armed with guns, blades, and bombs. they are like zombies, they will appear out of nowhere and hunt you down.

✞┋ how do people live in sanguis?

the sanguinians live like how the people in attack on titan live, except there are no giant walls. there are poor people, simple middleclassmen, and high-class aristocrats, living in the kingdom. even though karakuris are everywhere, they still get to go on with theiribes, unless you hear someone scream, "the karakuri are here!" or something like that, they will all get frantic.

✞┋ what do karakuris look like?

like humans. nothing about their features are changed during the karakuri transitions. they wear long military coat agent-assassin attire underneath and combat boots - all black.

✞┋ nct: fortis, puer, and conexus

all these stand for nct 127, nct dream, and nct u. fortis is latin for "strong," so i put that one for 127. plus, i feel a strong vibe radiating in nct 127. i thought of how powerful the song cherry bomb is. from the music, lyrics, choreography, the mv, so yeah. puer is latin for "youth," that's why i obviously chose that for dreamies; conexus is latin for "united," because the u in nct u means united.

sanguis is "blood" in latin.

beth'el (בֵּית אֵל‬) is "house of god" or "house of el" in hebrew.

yuta ⇴ rural areas of d'aam-o
d'aam-o is a play-on-word for the tagalog term "damo" which means "grass."

kun ⇴ capital of secretus
secretus means "secret," "secluded," or "hidden" in latin.

ten ⇴ thajsko
thajsko is "thailand" in czech.

winwin ⇴ northern sanguis, hila'gaa
hila'gaa is a play-on-word for the tagalog term "hilaga" which means "north" or "northern."

jeno ⇴ temple of ecclesia
ecclesia means "church" in latin.

chenle ⇴ district of hi'tori
hi'tori is a play-on-word for the japanese term "hitori" (一人 / 独り ) which means "alone," or "(only) one"

✞┋ our saviors and warriors' attire

nct (saviors) and the slots (warriors) wear the get-up in black on black. all dark, sharp, fierce, and powerful. they are armed with their main weapon, hidden daggers, a pistol in a holster latched on their thighs, and a few explosives.

✞┋ personalities are a little off

yes, but that doesn't mean i am going overboard with some of them being off-character. i just added a few personalities that contradict their trademark attributes, since this is not your average romantic applyfic. i will try to work things out with some angst.
