"It was a misunderstanding..." Qing immediately spoke, the moment Jia saw him, and her eyes narrowed to a sharp slit.
"Sure." Jia mumbled, then she glanced at Dayu, who looked fine. She breathed a sigh of relief, before she looked back at Qing with the same sharp narrowed look, "You really got to think things a few times over before deciding on doing them, 'boss'." Jia's tone when she called Qing 'boss' was always different from how others call Qing 'boss'. But today, it's a whole lot more 'sinister' sounding.
Jia, was Dayu's PA and Manager, and that made her an employer of Qing's company, as well. But, she was not that scared of Qing as the other employees were.
Probably because she worked closely with Dayu since the beginning. She was the one who had always been looking after Dayu and taking care of him when Qing couldn't. She was the one who would try her best to cover for their relationship back when they were just an open secret.
At that time, they would often have unnecessary rows and fights, mostly they resulted out of misunderstandings. Both he and Dayu were also quiet young at that time and that's probably why they didn't have much self control to deal with things patiently.
Qing was admittedly, more brash in his decision, usually he'd make Dayu jealous because he did something he said he wouldn't do, like that kissing scene in his first theatre appearance and a few more incidents. And it would be Jia who would be by Dayu's side, at that time, making sure that Dayu didn't over think things and did something stupid.
And Qing was also too quick to get over jealous and over possessive over Dayu, and Jia would be the only one standing between Qing's overwhelming desire and Dayu's well being.
Qing's still jealous and possessive over Dayu nowadays, he doubt it if he'd ever be able to get over these traits; but he could control his desire to put his mark on Dayu now, better than the early years.
But, with that being said; the reason why Jia could act like this towards Qing; despite Qing being the one putting his signature on her paycheck, was because Qing let her.
