My face was emotionless. I couldn't feel anything. Sighing, I turned around, gesturing Luke to follow me. Opening the door, I turned around and said a final goodbye.
"You all possibly hate me now, so this is goodbye. It was fun while it lasted. I'm sorry."
Everyone, other than Tyler, had a small frown on their face.
Just as I turned around to walk out. Someone called out to me.
"Wait– I.. I don't hate you Jon. Yeah, you're different but that's okay." Evan spoke softly.
I stopped in my tracks and turned around slowly, a small grin plastered underneath my mask. I still felt sad that Tyler didn't accept me but knowing that Evan doesn't hate me; that made me a bit more happier.
I flicked my eyes over to Tyler to see him staring at Evan with a harsh glare. I sighed and turned my attention back to Evan.
"Thank you Evan, at least I know I still have my best friend." I shuffled my feet slightly, my stomach filling up with butterflies.
Evan smiled softly and nodded. I grinned awkwardly underneath my mask and sighed, looking behind me to see Luke glaring at Tyler. I know he wanted to say something but he's holding back. Chuckling slightly, I turned back the guys.
"I'll see you later. Maybe more of you if I'm not that much of a freak to you." I chuckled again and turned, walking out the door,"Let's go eat, Toonz."
My friendship with all of my friends may be slightly broken but at least I still have him.
