Editing was so much more than just cropping audio, shifting clips, and adding in text or images to pull the video together. It was time-consuming and a lengthy process to produce and render a normal video, sometimes taking hours on end, and you absolutely despised it. Disruptions in your sleep routine weren't uncommon, and you once thought that pulling frequent all-nighters to finish editing a video was the worst thing that your Youtube career could bring you. And then QuackityHQ joined the 'Commentary Crew' Discord chat, and suddenly you felt just fine spending a half-hour rearranging and tracking text just for a two-second bit.
You found yourself chatting with your online friends considerably less; whenever you logged in and saw a piss-yellow duck glaring right back at you, an itchy feeling bubbled underneath your skin. No particular reason, but-- Well. To put it in the best of terms, he pinched at all of your wrong pressure points. Almost everything he said or did was a personal insult aimed at you; his successful streaming career, his rapidly growing subscriber count, his little quips that never seemed to go anywhere in particular all felt like sandpaper against your temples. The first thing he ever said to you was '@N/Nbee what the fuck kind of fursona is a bee lmao' and you immediately went to your private messages to ask Brandon to kick him out (so what if your name had 'bee' in it, it was cute and didn't have anything to do with furries). He declined. Brandon was adamant that Quackity didn't mean any harm. You didn't agree, but you also didn't want to start a fight in your friends' server.
Instead, you linked an article detailing the Top 10 Horrifying Facts About Ducks and promptly exited the Discord app. You very nearly logged back in to tell him off about an 11th fact relating to his annoying attitude, but you ultimately stopped yourself from doing it. You had to stay focused for your channel and fans, not get distracted by an immature raider... or whatever he was.
Fortuitously, his presence forced you off of Discord and made you more productive content-wise rather than spending hours laughing your ass off with your friends. At least you had a somewhat regular updating schedule now...
