"Connor!" Connor enters the room quickly wearing his usual jeans. "Yes Hank?" He shoves on one of Hank's old hoodies as he walks out of the bathroom. When Connor gets into the main room he sees the Jeri-crew, minus Markus, stood at the front door. "What's wrong?" Connor moves towards the door slowly. "Has something happened to Markus?" North shakes her head slowly. "Not exactly. There's nothing wrong with him he just won't talk to us." Josh sighs behind her. "North... He's fine physically. He isn't injured. But mentally I don't know. Like North said. He won't speak, to any of us." Connor's LED spun yellow for a second. "So why are you here?" North sighs harshly. "As much as I don't like it. Markus does like you I don't know why given what you nearly did to him." Hank cut her off with a growl but Connor stopped him from saying anything. "It's alright Hank, besides she isn't wrong." Hank sighs and rolls his eyes before backing down. "So you want me to try and talk to him?" They nod quickly, Simon moves from his space beside Josh. "Meet us at new Jericho whenever you're ready Connor." Connor nods quickly. "I'll be there as quick as I can." The three nod before getting back into their taxi.
Connor turns back around to talk to Hank. "What are you gonna do Connor?" Connor stares at him slightly. "What do you mean Lieutenant? Of course I'm going to go see him." Hank smirks at the Android slightly. "I knew you were gonna say that. I know why, but I bet you don't do you?" Connor's led flashes yellow. "I'm going because Markus is my friend and I want to help him like he did me." Hank nods and smirks slyly. "Of course. My mistake." Connor noted the sarcasm in his voice but didn't quite understanding what it was in reference to. Connor titled his head slightly before going to get changed. He managed to catch Hank's sly remark of "Make sure you dress nice Connor." He continued walking to his destination while filing away Hank's comments for further investigation. Connor delved into the bottom of Hank's wardrobe for clothes that would fit him. In the end he decided on another of Hank's old jumpers, that were all to big for him, and some jeans. As well as some converse Hank had found for him and his beanie he had on when he deviated. He doesn't quite understand why but he has an emotional attachment to it. When he walked back into the main room Hank was sitting on the couch in the living room watching the news. In 1 week Markus was expected to make a speech about Androids. However with the Android in question making no physical appearance, people were starting to doubt if he would turn up, or if something had happened to him. "Connor. Go find out what's wrong with Robo Jesus okay? I don't want his cause suffering because of some PTSD." Connor nods quickly and firmly. "Of course Lieutenant. I'll try my hardest to get through to him." Hank nods before turning back to the TV. Before Connor could leave, Hank makes another comment. "Oh by the way Connor. A change of scenery could do wonders for him. Keep that in mind." Connor nods even though Hank hadn't turned to face him. "Goodbye Hank. See you later Sumo." Hank smiled at the screen as Connor left. He knows that Connor liked spending time with Sumo, but it had become clear to the Detective that Sumo was one of the only living things Connor connected with. While his advice for a change of scenery was advice for the Markus situation. It was also for Connor because the Android Detective, even though he had been laid off for a while, hadn't left the house since Markus's speech. A change of scenery would be good for him too, no matter how brief.
Connor jumped into the taxi as soon as it pulled up and gave the driver the location of New Jericho. Which in actuality, was the old Cyberlife tower. It had been converted to house Androids who had nowhere to go, and to help fix the ones who had been broken in the protests. However sub level 49 had been turned into a graveyard of sorts, until a law is passed which allows Androids to be buried in graveyards. When the taxi pulled up nearly 30 minutes later, Connor paid and jumped out of it. He slowed down however as he walked towards the tower. Inside were many Androids he could have killed had Markus not helped him deviate. However it was also full of Androids he had converted after deviating from his programming. That fact was what made him continue walking, even when all he wanted to do was go back home, to Hank and Sumo. 'Home?' Connor thought quickly. 'When did I start referring to Hank's house as home?' The thoughts didn't stay for very long when he walked into the elevator. He had messaged Simon in the taxi to ask where Markus would be. Simon told him that Markus's room was on the top floor, at the back. Also that if he wasn't there then he might be at Carl Manfred's house. While Markus doesn't speak of him often, it's well known that Carl is like a father to Markus. Luckily when he got to Markus's room he could hear piano music coming from inside so he assumed Markus was here.
