"Link! Open your eyes!" Zelda lay beside the hero begging him to stay awake, to stay with her. "Please get up, wake up Link please. Please don't leave me too." The hero lay on the ground, his Princess by his side. Mortally wounded with his sword still clutched in his hand. Though his grip was loosening as his consiousness slipped away from him. "Link! No. I forbid you from dying." Link doesn't open his eyes. His grip continues to loosen. "Come on Link, you've got to wake up." A possessed Guardian crawled it's way up to the two of them. "No! You stay away from him!" The power of the Goddess Hylia that runs through her veins finally awakened, as if wanting also to protect the hero, and destroyed all the Guardians in their immediate vicinity. The Guardian collapses quickly, it's 6 legs unable to hold it up any longer. Zelda looks down to the hero behind her as his sword finally drops to the ground. "Link!" She drops to her knees beside him once again. "You fought so hard to protect me. Please fight to bring yourself back to me." She brings her forhead down to rest on his. The heavy rain beating hard onto the ground beneath them. But the Princess can no longer find it in herself to care. Everything is gone. Her friends. Her father. Her Kingdom. Her hero. She picks the sword from his hands, planning to go place it back in the woods. She lingers a hand on his chest gently, hoping with all her heart that she'll feel a heartbeat underneath her fingers. She rests it there for merely a few seconds before she feels it. It's fleeting. It's barely there. But it's there. A heart beat. Before she has a made a desicion on what to do, two Sheikah's make their way over to her. "Princess!" Zelda turns to face them quickly. "Quickly, help me take Link to the Shrine of Ressurection." The two nod quickly and pick up the hero. "What are you going to do Princess." Zelda glances down at Link quickly. "I'm going to go with you as you take him there. I will then take this sword back to the forest and face the Calamity at the castle." The two look to each other, then to the tired Princess before nodding.

The two Sheikah's remove Link's tunic and items to allow the Shrine to work, they then place the Sheikah slate on the pedastle for when he awakes. "Thank you for your help. But I implore you to leave. You've done all you can. The Shrine will protect Link until he is healed. So please, protect yourself and try to live as well as you can." The Sheikah's nod slowly. "Princess. Please be careful." Zelda nods slowly. "I will." With that the two leave the Shrine, allowing the Princess one last moment with the hero before she sets out herself. She rests herself on the edge of the chamber where Link lays. "I know you'll come back. All I can do know is have faith and pray that your recovery will be quick." She places a gentle kiss on his forhead. "Farewell Link." Zelda stands up, and heads to the mouth of the shrine. She stands there for a moment, takes a quick glance back at the hero and leaves the Shrine.

She quickly makes her way to the Lost Woods. Clutching the Master Sword tightly to her chest, she takes her first steps into the misty woods. She follows the sword's instructions, allowing her to make her way through the woods without getting lost a single time. She holds the sword out slightly. "Thank you." The sword seems to resonate with her thanks before quieting down. When she looks back up the Deku is staring down at her. "You look lost child." Zelda stares up at him sadly, tears building up, but she refuses to let them fall. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this Great Deku Tree. I came to return the sword to it's pedestal." The Deku Tree stays silent for a second. "And what of the sword's master Link?" Zelda takes a deep breath. "He's healing. He was reckless. He saved me but he pushed himself past his limits." She kneels before the pedestal and lays the sword down upon it. She places her hands together, laces ger fingers and closes her eyes. She prays to the Goddesses that they will watch over Link as he heals and one day allow him to reclaim his sword. She stands slowly. Taking one last look at the sword before looking up to the Deku Tree. "Please. When he comes to retrieve what is rightfully his, tell him I will be waiting for him." The Deku Tree accepts the task easily. "I will. I wish you look on your own task Princess." Zelda smiles sadly. "Thank you. I must be going now." With that she leaves the Korok Forest behind, Link's sword left where it belongs, other than it's masters hand.

She returns to Hyrule Castle alone. No sword, no Champions by her side and for the first time in a long time no Link, by her side. She reached out her hand, once again calling upon Hylia's power. "Ganon! I will hold you here in the castle until you can be defeated." The Calamity roared loudly and swooped down to the Princess. The Princess, while still unsure on how to use her newly awakened powers. But she relied on her emotions, hoping that Hylia was with her, helping her protect everyone. She doesn't know what happened but her body soon dissapated from where she was stood. She trapped herself in Hyrule Castle with Ganon to keep him trapped there. "Please hurry Link, you're our only hope." With that the three bearers of the Triforce were once again trapped in battle.
