The girls were on their way back home after their, well, messed up dinner.
"Unnie! An arcade!" Yujin exclaimed, jumping on Yena's back, then making the both of them fall.
"Let's go!" Yena replied, jumping right back up, dragging Yujin with her.
"I wanna go too!" Jangseul said, making grabby hands towards the unnies when they were about to leave.
"Aw come here our little....well not so little maknae." Yena stated, pausing a bit, eyeing the younger up and down.
The rest of the girls chuckled at the girls' height gap, then following the three others in the arcade building.
"Oh! Chaewon-unnie!" Jangseul exclaimed, seeing her older school friend. The two hung out often with Hwayoung at school before getting accepted into their respective companies.
"Jangseul-ie~" Chaewon said calmly, walking towards her friend. Then proceeding for them to hug each other, having not seen each other for a while.
"How's Woollim, unnie?" Hwayoung asked, hands in her pockets, walking towards the two of them.
"Well I'm definitely more busy. I kinda miss being a normal student, but if going through this means I achieve my dreams, then I'm willing." Chaewon replied. "Wanna play around for a bit? My treat kinda?"
"Yay!" Jangseul exclaimed, skipping towards the cashier to get her tokens. The older girls were laughing silently behind her, catching up slowly.
The 8 girls spent a couple of minutes at the arcade and headed home immediately afterwards, after saying goodbye to Chaewon, promising to meet her another day.
"How do you know her, Hwayoung-ah?" Sian asked curiously, lying down on the couch after the three oldest members were done taking a bath, the younger four taking turns, Hwayoung last.
"School friend. Three of us used to be the closest of close." Hwayoung explained, "Then, of course, we eventually had to part at some point. I went to Starship, Chaewon to Woollim, and our baby Jang to Stone Music."
"You guys really treat her like your kid huh?" Yena said, sitting down beside the two girls.
"Well yeah. How else are we supposed to treat her when she has no parents here?" Hwayoung replied, smiling a bit, also tearing up. "We were originally from the Philippines. Our parents were against the idea of us becoming idols. We were also made fun of for our 'unrealistic' dreams."
"But in the end, you both pushed through and are here with us right now. That's what matters." Yuri stated, walking towards them, gathering them all for a hug.
"Hm? What happened?" Jangseul asked, drying her hair before sitting with them.
"How we came here, Jang." Hwayoung said, looking up with a little tears in her eyes.
"Oh. Yeah. Then." Jangseul replied, smiling lightly, before lying down on the couch. "Your turn for the shower by the way, unnie." Jangseul continued, reffering to Hwayoung.
"Thanks Jang." Hwayoung said calmly standing up and leaving the scene.
The other girls were playing board games while waiting for Yujin, Wonyoung, and Hwayoung in the showers with them slowly joining in one by one.
"You traitor! Why did you have to buy THAT specific property I landed on!" Yena yelled, messing up her hair with frustration.
"I take the opportunity when I can!" Sian explained, throwing her hands up in the air.
"Guys it's just Monopoly!" Jangseul exclaimed yelled into each of their ears, making the two older girls keep quiet.
"So who are the oldest ones again?" Yuri chuckled in sarcasm, looking over at the three before going back to her book. The girl could still concentrate on that thing. No one knows how.
"Shut up." The two '99 liners said, prolonging the "up" before going back to their game.
"Hey guys." Yujin said, Wonyoung beside her. The two walked towards the 4 other girls in the living room. It was spacious enough for all of them to sit comfortably. "What're y'all doin'?"
"Supposedly playing a game of Monopoly. The two unnies made it chaotic. Overall just waiting for Hwayoung." Yuri replied, all while still reading her book.
"Makes sense and I'm personally not shocked." Yujin shrugged, sitting beside Yuri, pulling out her phone to play an online mobile game, Wonyoung beside Jangseul.
"I'm baaack!" Hwayoung said, skipping from the bathroom and jumping over the couch only to land perfectly to sit beside Yujin.
*ding*
"A message from CEO-nim?" each of the girls thought as they all reached for their phones at the same time.
