Chapter 9

By the time we finished eating it was already dark outside.
"What's wrong Marcy?" Finn asked.

"Nothing I was just daydreaming...It's so beautiful at night it's like the entire world changes everything looks so different."

"Do you want to go to go for a walk we could get some slurpies?"

"Sure that sounds like fun."

We didn't talk much in the way there.

"The red glow from the stores neon sign is so beautiful." Finn said.

"Yeah.. I always thought the same thing." I said as Finn opened the stores door for me.

We got the slurpies and paid a walked back.it was already 1:00am.

We walked in awkward silence for a while until Finn broke it.

"Marceline....can I ask you something?"

"Sure....what is it finn?" I replied.

"D-Do you think it's weird that I like you.......like.. as more than a friend?"

I looked down and blushed as we continued walking on the moonlit path.

"......I like you too Finn."

Finn looked down but I could see he was blushing.
Finn stopped walking and I stopped too.

"What's wrong Finn?"
He didn't respond he just leaned in and kissed me.
I was so shocked.

"I-I'm sorry....."

"Don't apologize...............I-I enjoyed it." I said blushing.

Finn smiled and grabbed my hand.
He couldn't stop smiling if he wanted to.

"Do you care if I crash at your place?"

When we got back to Finns house. It was so quiet and dark. Finn lighted a lantern and changed into his red pjs and went down stairs to light a fire in the fireplace.
I slowly climbed into his bed and got under the blankets.
A few minutes later Finn came back upstairs. He got under the blankets and kissed me on the cheek. I leaned over and put my head on his shoulder and Finn put his arms around me.
He was so warm.
The only thing making a sound was the popping of the fire.
We both just cuddled there in silence until we both fell asleep.
