Noemi's POV

Brandy Michaels doesn't know when to give up.

She is one annoying, demanding, cocky and exhausting blonde. Getting rid of her is harder than getting rid of streaks of jelly in a jar of peanut butter. Sometimes I wish I could throw her worthless ass at the school fountain like I do with all those unnecessary pennies. But that'd probably get me detention and provoke her further to try to 'conquer' me. Since I'm so 'hard to get'.

"Hey baby, how are you today?" I heard the click-clacks of her heels and her enthusiastic voice the first thing in the morning. I didn't acknowledge her presence as I unlocked my locker and started exchanging some books.

"Still giving me the cold shoulder? Frowning doesn't suit your pretty face Noemi-bear!"

I took a deep sigh as I tried to ignore the question, the out-of-line compliment and the regular pet name.

"So, what are you doing after school? I was thinking..." she trailed off as I was pulling out some pads from my locker.

"Oh, you're on your period? So, uh, after school, let's go out for something sweet? You're probably craving chocolate, right? I always crave chocolate when I'm on my period. Noemi-bear? We could go to that bakery, you know, the one next to the subway station. They have the most amazing chocolate cheesecakes ever! And if you feel like ice-cream, there's a place I know- Or, I could bake you something myself, I might not look like it, but I actually know my way around the kitchen."

After I was done getting the necessary books for Chemistry, I turned around to face the blabbermouth.

"Oh my God. She's looking at me!" She exclaimed in mock surprise. I knew she was just monkeying around. Which only fuelled my anger all the more.

"Just leave me alone Brandy. I'm never going to be your plaything." I said with a sigh.

"What plaything? Just, just give me one chance." She begged.

"What chance?" I asked exasperatedly.

"One date you know... tonight?"

Before I could reject her right on the spot, she continued speaking.

"If you don't enjoy your time, I'll leave you alone." For the first time, she sounded a bit desperate.

I started contemplating the pros and cons as Brandy stood in front of me with eyes glistening with expectation. She said she'd leave me alone. It's not like I'll ever fall for her games. I think I can bear with it for a night, in order to be left alone for the rest of the school year. Sounds like a deal.

"One date." I made it clear, before starting to walk away from her.

"OH MY GOD IS THAT A YES?" God. She was so dramatic.

"I suggest you scram before I change my mind." I said without looking back.

"Cheesecake or ice-cream?" She yelled.

"I love carrot cake." I yelled back, facing her. I expected her to know that at least, since she was basically my stalker.

"Oh, okay then, I'll pick you up at 7, love. See you later." She said, blowing me a kiss.

"How do you know where I live, Brandy?" I asked exasperatedly. But she just ignored it with a grin and skipped away from me. It was definitely an understatement to say that I had my hands full with her.

After school, I rode the bus home and spent a few hours doing homework, checking out my blog, reading a few pages from my current bedside book.
