Blu and Izzy

It was morning and Blu made sounds that made it seem like Linda's alarm was going off. When she went to turn it off it didn't work so she kept hitting it "stupid clock" she tried unplugging it. She took the covers off her head as the alarm kept going "huh?" till she looked up and saw Blu making car noises now till she pushed his nose making a car parking noise

He flipped the glasses over putting them on her  as she petted me and Blu "good morning, Blu and Izzy"

We all 3 brushed our teeth. Me and Linda spit it out while Blu swallowed it then burped making is grossed out "ew!" I was on Linda's shoulder

I pushed the toaster button down while Blu went to go get the cereal then went down shooting a plate up and Linda caught it as I watched "ooh!"

"Come here" me and Blu kept denying our medicine "Tyler Blu Gunderson! Abby Izzy Gunderson! You two know these vitamins are good for you" we kept dodging she got an idea and pulled up Blu's favorite cereal "ooh. What's this?" He opened his mouth and she feed him his medicine and he complained. she showed me my favorite stuffed animal me getting happy feeding my medicine as well. I didnt like the taste "gotcha guys"

Blu got on a cop car as I just rode on his back, him imitating a police siren. He grabbed his little rope as he parked the car and swung me and him onto the stairs down to the library, me and him sliding down and jumped onto Linda's arm "whoo!" Blu typed her password then i pressed enter. The computer showed us as pirates

We all three fist bump each other then imitate an explosion. After she pets us

"Enjoy the new book"

"Thanks, Linda"

"Bye, now" Linda got on the phone "yes, mom, I'd love to visit. But who would take care of Blu and Izzy? Mom, they don't have kennels for parrots or canneries" she sets down Blu's hot chocolate as she sets down my peanuts. I'd rather not have hot chocolate. Blu loves hot chocolate though "Here's your hot chocolate, Blu. Just how you like it. And here's your food Izzy" she walked away still talking "Plus, I don't trust leaving Blu and Izzy with just anyone. No, I don't have a bird-sitter..."

Blu sniffs his hot chocolate as I start to eat my bowl of peanuts "ah. This is the life. The perfect  marshmallow-to-cocoa ratio. One, two, three, four, five...six" the last one popped up "mmm"

"Whatever you say Blu" I start to eat another peanut as well as Blu was about to take a sip there was a loud bang startling me.

Me and Blu look outside and see the same birds as every other time laughing at us "well, well, if it isnt my favorite nerd birds"

Blue wipes his beak "very...very funny. Real mature"

"Hey, pets! Where you migrating to this year, huh? The breakfast nook?" They started laughing again as I just stared at them with a blank look as they threw another snowball but didnt hit us

"Throw all the snowballs you want. We're protected by this magical force field called glass. Its what keeps us so toasty and warm in here" he dips his cookie in his hot chocolate then continues "while you guys are out there freezing your..." Blu was about to take a bite when we see them shaking their tail feathers at us "classy" we were about to start eating again when we heard something

Me and Blu lean back as he runs towards the window crashing into it. Me and Blue just stare at him confused

Linda brings him inside as we just watch whats happening "im not really built for this weather"

"Oh. Are you looking for some books?"

"Books? No" he started chuckling "no. I have come 6,ooo miles looking for them" he gestured to us but me and Blu were eating till we notice they were talking about us

"Doctor of ornithology?"

"Ooh. They are magnificent" Blu smiled while I just tilted my head. he then started trying to make bird noises which just made us back up away from him

"Linda, little help here. Linda?" Blu called but to no avail as to humans it just looked like we were talking to each other

"Wow, you're actually communicating with them"

Me and Blu looked so confused

"Yes. Yes. I introduced myself and shook my tail feathers counter-clockwise, thus deferring to their dominance"

"I did not get that at all" he tilted his head then looked at me "did you Izzy?"

I shook my head "nope"

"So, Dr. Monteiro, you..." Blu climbed onto Linda's arm while I flew onto her shoulder

He chuckled "oh, no 'doctor,' please. Just call me Tulio. You know, your macaw and cannery are very special birds. In fact, as far as we know, Blu is the last male of his kind. and Izzy is the last female that we know of, or even of her kind"

"Really?" Linda looked at us as we both looked at her

"Yes. And recently, we found a female macaw like Blu, but not yet discovered a male purple cannery. But our hope is to bring the two blue macaws together to save their species"

Blu gulps as I just giggle as his reaction to meeting a girl thats of the same species as him "oh. Well, yeah, sure. When can she come over?" We look at Tulio

"Oh, no, no, no. She is in Brazil. Blu must come to Rio de Janeiro" Tulio smiles as Linda starts to laugh

"Rio? Brazil?" She backs up hitting a table as Blu jumps off her me following him as he climbs on the globe looking at where Brazil is "oh, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I never let Blu or Izzy out of my sight" both me and Blu jump back onto Linda "they need me"

"Oh, no. You...you misunderstand. It's all arranged. You will be with them every step of the way. And I will be with you"

I look at him skeptically "um, look, I know you're doing your job, but I can't...well, Blu is very particular, and we have our little routine here, and we're not big on travel. Heck, he doesn't even fly" Blu looked hurt as I just looked at Blu with sad eyes

Tulio picked him up "but, of course, he can fly" he opened Blu's mouth "he's a perfect specimen" he opened Blu's wings then lifted Blu's tail feathers

"Uh, what are you doing?" Linda looked worried as I started to fly worried for Blu as well

"Don't worry. Their nature instincts always take over" Tulio tossed Blu in the air as I squawked at him and Linda shouted at him

"Wait! Wait, wait! No! No!"

Blu fell to the ground with a thud

"Well, almost always"

"Blu!" Me and Linda went over to him

"What kind of doctor are you?"

Linda snuggled him as I sat on her shoulder glaring at Tulio "are you okay?"

"Perhaps he's too domesticated"

Linda and Blu started to glare at Tulio as well and Linda snapped and sat Blu down as I fly down next to him "it was very nice of you to stop in and squeak around and throw my bird" she handed Tulio his card and start to push him out "but now it's time for you to go"

"I'm very sorry. I...im very sorry, but...wait, wait. Linda. Linda. This could be our last chance"

"Have a safe flight" she shut the door and walked over to me and Blu

"Linda, please, listen to me. If we don't do this, his whole species will be gone. Izzy's species may be gone already" he opened the mail slot and put his card through. I flew down to get it handing it to Linda. He peaked through the hole "just think about it" all three of us just look at each other
