Chapter 9 (The Nolan's)

                                                     Mia pov

Me Emma and Henry are in the ice cream shop when Madam Mayor came in with Mr.David and Mrs. Kathryn walking in Behind her i looked at Emma and Henry worried "Mia" Madam Mayor said i looked up at her "can you come here please" she said smiling at me i nodded standing from my seat and walking over to her "hello Mia how are you doing" Miss Mayor asked i can see that she's looking at my bruised cheek "I'm fine" i said smiling at her trying to act brave she nodded "Mr and Mrs Nolan agreed to take you in until further notice is that okay" she asked i look up seeing all three of them smiling at me i nodded "yes" i said "and after the incident from yesterday" she said looking at the Nolan's "we came to agree that you should go see Dr.Hopper" she said "I'm fine" i said looking up at all of them "we know that Mia" Kathryn said smiling at me sweetly "we just want you to talk to someone about what happened" Miss Mayor said "okay if that's what you think is best" i said confused "great!" Miss Mayor said smiling at me "we had some of your things moved to your new house also so you don't have to go back okay" Miss Mayor said as she smiled at me sweetly i nodded "come on" Mia Kathryn said holding out her hand i nodded waving bye to Henry and Emma they waved back and i took Kathryn's hand and we walked out 

                                        Henry pov

i could see that Mia was nervous due to her posture my mom and the Nolan's are talking to her at the far part of the ice cream shop "don't worry kid I'm sure she'll be fine" Emma told me "i know I'm just worried you know we were up all night talking" i said "she cried a lot" i said to Emma her eyes got wide "she's been going through a lot" i said watching as she waved at us leaving with them "I'm sure she's in better hands than Mr.Gold" Emma said i nodded "Come on Henry" my mom said i nodded leaving with her as were walking out of the blue i asked "are the Nolan's going to adopt Mia" i said looking up at my mom she looked down at me in shock "i put two and two together" i said she nodded "only time will tell" she said "but she's for sure not going back to Mr.Gold" i asked worried My mom stopped she could see the worry in my face i think she bent down to my level "Henry i promise with all my power i will not let her go back to him okay" she said i nodded "thank you mom" she nodded "now come on lets go home" she said i nodded walking with her 

                                           Mia pov

so far me and the Nolan's talked about all kinds of things like how i missed seeing them since i was in the hospital and how i like to go for walks Mr.David said he likes to do that too i told them how my dad pulled me out of school and asked if I'm allowed to go back i looked up at them when they stopped looking concerned "Mia" Mr.David asked "have you left the house since you left the hospital" he asked i shook my head "no"i said  "why" Mrs.Nolan asked "dad said it was too dangerous for a girl my age" i said they looked at each other then we started walking again as i held Mrs.Nolan's hand "i think it's a good idea to go back to school" she said "really" i said looking up at them as i smiled they both nodded "thank you!" i said looking up at them they both chuckled 

                                    David pov

i can't believe him he pretty much isolated her then put her in danger what kind of father is he i thought angry i looked at the nasty bruise on her cheek and the cut on her lip then left her alone not to mention she's only five and going through all of this i think its a great idea sending her to Dr.Hopper i thought as we reached the house finally 

                                     Mia pov

we enter the house "wow!" i said as my eyes lit up they both chuckled "you have a very pretty house" i said to them they chuckled "it's you house too now" Mrs.Kathryn said smiling at me kindly "really" i asked looking at them they nodded "thank you" i said smiling "and not just for this" i said looking up at them "you took me in when you didn't have to" i said looking down "and knowing who my dad is" i said "Hey it doesn't matter who your dad is" Mr.David said "or that we didn't have to take you in" he said "we wanted to you are a very sweet little girl" he said "you deserve so much better than you've been treated" he said looking back at Mrs.Kathryn "and we wouldn't want any other little girl" he said "thank you" i said he nodded "how about i show you to your room" he said i nodded "it's getting late any way and you have to see Dr.Hopper in the Morning"  Mrs.Kathryn said "you must be tired" she said i nodded i hugged her "Thank you" i said  she hugged me back "your welcome" she said i followed David and he showed me my room "wow!" i said "you like it" he asked "yeah i love it!" i said stars on the ceiling purple bedding bookshelf full of books a bunch of stuffed animals it was beautiful "here let me help you get changed for bed" he said i nodded i had checkered pants and a grey long sleeve shirt "there you go" he said he laid me in bed" how about a bedtime story" he said "really" i asked excitedly he nodded "and since i know you like snow white" he pulled out the book sat down on the edge of the bed and started reading until i felt my eyelids become heavy 

                                   David pov

i looked at Mia as she slept kissing her forehead "good Night Princess" i said walking out
