Stevie and Lindsey were on their way home for the night. They were to finish packing and make sure the times of their departing plane was correct.
Stevie was still unclear on where she wanted to go so she told Lindsey they could make a trip; one where they could start off somewhere and make their way straight to other countries and come home for a day to repack and tour. On their trip, they had also decided they would give the band a call and get things set into action. Stevie had a part-time assistant---who followed her as she needed her. She was about to drop this new plan on her right now.
Lindsey was excited to travel the world with Stevie without terms of touring. They were limited to drinking only because they didn't want to deal with hangovers on concert nights. That was the worst thing in the world. Stevie could take it like a champ since she had been an alcoholic and drug addict at the same time. Nowadays, she would go on alcoholic binges and then stop a long time. It really depended and this trip wasn't looking to be boring. Lots of drinking was bound to happen. Lindsey wasn't an alcoholic but he was a big drinker and he was kind of bad for Stevie. She would get tempted to drink especially if she was the only one not. She, however knew when to stop. That was also a big step in her life.
As Stevie and Lindsey spent the night packing their things, Stevie was a teeny bit drunk. Her private jet was picking them up around midnight the next day. The couple wanted to be well rested and sure that they had everything they needed. The way Stevie spent money on clothes, clothes really weren't her huge concern. And everything she had was going with them on tour. She just wasn't going to come back till she was ready.
Stevie took a swig of her beer as she folded her clothing. Her thoughts were roaming everywhere but what she was doing. As she roamed back and forth through her bedroom and bathroom, she was kind of blank as to what she was doing but she was getting the task done.
She was just sad from having to leave her little boy home with Robin. She loved and trusted Robin to take care of him and she did, but she had some intense maternal instincts attacking her. All she wanted was her child and at the moment she wasn't even allowed that. It killed her to no end. She worked so hard to drive herself from him so she wouldn't miss him, but she couldn't trust herself to get close. She was afraid she would blurt it out and Robin would hate her for that. Not only that, but afraid her son would hate her for giving him away. She was actually considering moving back to Las Vegas or somewhere Lindsey wanted to be. She just felt she could not be in the same country or she would have more urge to call and she wouldn't be as busy. Back in the day, drugs kept her busy; emotionally and physically.

Opening her eyes, all Stevie could see was the white of the blurry hospital ceiling. Her eyes shifted all over quickly and then realized she could look elsewhere. Clearing her vision she started to get up. As she looked down she could see so many things connected to her.
There was an oxygen mask on her face, an IV in her left arm as well as a pulse oximeter on her index finger. She had sticky pads on her chest in which were checking her heart rate.
"Hey, hey, hey---lay back," Lindsey came over to her.
"What am I doing here?" she took the mask off. "What the hell is all this?" She looked down at the pads on her chest.
"Ms. Nicks, we're gonna need you to lay down," the doctor stated.
She looked up abruptly. "No, leave me alone," she pulled her arm back. "Don't touch me. What the fuck am I doing here?" she looked up at Lindsey.
"You overdosed, Stevie. You're very sick right now and you need some help, please calm down," he said softly. He wasn't going to tell her about the brain hemorrhage yet, only because she wasn't thinking clearly and she would freak out.
