Stevie and Lindsey were on their way back to the states. They had gone to Egypt right after Greece and Stevie had been in so much love with it. It was so different and interesting. They saw Antony and Cleopatra's tomb. She found it all very fascinating, as did Lindsey but he was more contained about it.

"So, I guess after that was our last big hurrah until tour is over and we have stuff to do," Stevie laughed.

The couple were on their plane ride to states. They were going to Massachusetts---starting the tour from the east end of the country since they came from the east. They had many other places to go, but she always started simple. Simple was an understatement, however she tried.

"Are you bored?" He had felt the need to ask.

She seemed to be dreading the road and he'd never really seen that. He saw it a couple times before but nothing that ever lasted that long. But being one with her, he noticed a lot about her---stuff that nobody had ever seen. Not even him, when they were younger.

"Well..." she pondered. "I love what I do---the road's my home. This is my job and it's definitely not boring," she chuckled. "I feel the need for more, y'know?"

"I get it..." He rested his head against the jet's seat. Closing his eyes he was kind of thinking. "Like family."

She turned her head swiftly to stare at him. He used the F word without even thinking about it. "Right," she said assuredly as she kept on staring.

Family was so not what she wanted but she had to admit, she wanted it at the same time. She did have it for a short and brief time but then half was taken away and the other, she gave up on. Her life had always been a tug of war due to family versus career. She was also afraid of commitment only because she was afraid of loss. She feared she'd lose another love.

"How'd you know?" she asked.

"What?" he mumbled through his partly drifted self.

"Family---what would make you say that?" She kind of moved her hand away from his.

"Well," he opened his eyes to look at her. "I mean... I dunno. I just-- I've always had that feeling for myself. I love the road---I love to party, but you think; I can't do this forever, sometimes. You envision settling down but you mostly dream," he shrugged.

"Do you want a family, Linds?" she asked softly.

He looked at her.

"I'm not offering---I'm just asking." She had to assure. She just didn't feel ready, herself.

He kind of shrugged. "Sure---maybe one day. I was just trying to get something out of you to comfort. I wasn't asking you, I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable."

"I understand---" she rubbed his hand. She was actually reassured with him saying that only because she thought he was asking in some sort.

Arriving to their first destination of tour, the couple went straight back to the hotel to get some shut eye. They were actually exhausted this time around because they didn't sleep. They did everything but. Stevie was more concerned with getting a setlist in order and making sure that everybody was going to be able to play. She didn't know if she would have to replace any of her guys.

When the following day arrived and Stevie and Lindsey were more in tune with their sleep schedule, they went to the place they would be playing at. It was just a Stevie Nicks concert so none of the new Buckingham-Nicks songs were to be played. But they did consider playing a few for the encores because their tour together was very successful.
