Chapitre 20 - Aller Mieux

Seoul | 2018

Mina prepares breakfast for the elders. Mina woke up in the morning and immediately fried the egg, making a stew, roll a kimbab, and cook the rice as well.

"Ah, you cook?" Chaeyoung's mom comes from the bed while Mina cook.

"Ah, Mrs. Son, please be seated, my stew will be done in a minute"

"Oh, why are you busy in the morning? We don't want to hassle you"

"Ah it's okay, Mrs. Son"

Chaeyoung's mom then sits at the dining room while watching mina cooks. 

"How old are you, Mina-ssi?"

"Me? I am 28 years old, Mrs. Son" Mina answers while setting the cutlery.  

"Ahhh. Do you work under Chayoungie?"

"Not directly to her. She's my big boss. I am just an intern there, actually"

"Oh really???"

"Yeah, I am resetting my life, I got into university 3,5 years ago"

"Cool, you're so cool" Chaeyoung's mom smile at her. 

"Mina-ssi" Chaeyoung's mom calls for her. 

"Yes?" Mina then put the stew at the table.

"Sit here" Chaeyoung's mom orders her to sit.

"Please take care of my daughter" Chaeyoung's mom says it while holding her hands. 

Mina is shocked by the statement.

"I know that I am asking you a lot. But, since you're now her roommate, also her colleague, please watch her for me. I know that she's an adult, but she's my only child. And I worry about her a lot"

Mina nods and then take her hands, "Don't worry Mrs. Son" Mina smile at her.

"Whoah smells so good" Chaeyoung's dad comes from the bedroom.

"Yeobo, come here, Mina's cooking"

"Whoah, thank you Mina-ssi. Okay, let's eat!"

The three of them then having breakfast while talking to each other. After they finished the breakfast, Seojun and Chaeyoung come home. His grandparents welcome her with a big smile, telling him that he's so brave over the needles. Seojun spends times at his mom's for a while. 

At noon, Chaeyoung's parents and Seojun are about to leave for Busan.

Before leaving the apartment, Seojun hugs her mom and saying thanks to her. Chaeyoung hold her tears.

"Call us, okay?"

"I will Mom. Dad, be careful"

"We will"

Mina seeing those scene from the above and smile to herself. Both Chaeyoung's mom and dad already say goodbye and thanks to her. Chaeyoung then goes up, go straight to the bedroom. It's understandable that she's tired and lacks sleep the past Saturday. Mina also stays home that day.

It's Monday already, well the past weekend was that long for Mina. Even longer than when she worked at Lotte World. As usual, Mina wakes up at 7. She headed to the kitchen and shocks cause the found Chaeyoung lying on the sofa with her blanket. It's odd that she hasn't wake up yet.

Mina then takes a little closer. Mina sees that Chaeyoung's sweat a lot, her lips are trembling. Mina then put her palm on her head. She's burning. Mina then takes a blanket from her room and put it to Chaeyoung, making her warm.
