Chapter 1
It happened about a month ago. The rising that is. I was shopping gathering food that would last me until my next paycheck. I got mostly canned food, as it was easier to cook after a hard days work. Beans meatballs, the works. I got the nesesities too, like bread, milk, butter. I had gotten the shopping into my car after paying for it, when all hell broke loose.
