   You can feel stress and anxiety every day but you don't have to be stuck in it. Make a simple change in your mental state by touching a new surface. Touching a different surface from the one you are touching in the present moment can completely change how you feel.

Here's how you do it:
1) When you feel the anxiety coming on in your Physical Body, stop and take note.

2)Now that you are fully conscious that you are in a state of anxiety, reach out and touch a surface. This might be your dashboard or the floor or the back of your chair.

3)Think of how it feels. Whether it's cold or warm, damp or dry. As you think about how it feels, bring up the very first time you felt a surface like that. The more vivid the memory, the quicker the anxiety melts away.

This is a technique you may never have thought of or are already doing instinctively.  Change you state from anxiety to calm using your sense of touch.  It's powerful and also easy.
