Dear, Harry:

I made a new friend today. His name is Eli. He's twelve, and a really nice young lad. He wears pajamas though. I asked him why, and he said that it's because his family has been very poor since the war started, and that they haven't been able to afford new clothing.

I felt bad, so I went to my childhood home and gave him a couple of my old clothes from when I was a child. He looked so happy when I handed them to him. We're now great friends. My mum even offered to use the little bit of notes she had left, to buy him new clothes. Him and his family are coming over for dinner tomorrow. They're such nice people, Harry. I can't wait for you to meet them.

Love, Louis.
