"some build bridges— others choose to swim away." - AZ

"Good morning my baby." I picked up my son Elliot.

I kissed his left cheek, as we entered the bathroom to get him ready for the day.

"It's your birthday today baby! You're finally turning 1 and I invited your aunties and uncles." I spoke to him with a soft voice.

~12:00pm~

Around 12, all of the guest started to arrive, and put their gifts on a table by the door.

"Thank you to everyone who came to my sons very first birthday. I would like to thank everyone for the love, gifts, and support that you guys have given us. That'll forever be the best gift ever to the both of us." I smile at the small crowd.

"We'll do the birthday cake, then we'll eat food."

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Elliot
Happy birthday to you

Elliot and I blow the candles.

"Yay!" Everyone applauds.

"Time to eat." I smile.

Everyone rushed to the kitchen and formed a line to grab food.

"So good!" My friend Melody Says.

"Why thank you. Spent about 2 hours making it by myself last night." I smile proudly.

I picked up my son, and walk towards my living room and sit with him.

"Boo!" I said to Elliot as I removed my hands from my eyes.

"Mama!" He says excitedly.

I gasp.

"Baby you finally said mama!" I say excitedly with a huge grin.

Everyone laughs as I jump up and down from my excitement.

My babies first words were "baba." Which meant blanket to him.

-Ding Ding-

I go to the door with Elliot and open up the door. And there he was. The smile on my face, suddenly disappears.

The man who threw me out if his house, is standing in front of me.

"B-Bella." He stutters.
