I sat on the edge of Jason's bed, trying to hold back the flood of tears that were stinging my eyes.
Calypso took Piper out for a breather, and I can only hope that she managed to coax some food down her. She hasn't been eating, sleeping or doing anything really, since Jason got ill.
I want to stay strong, I have to stay strong.
I've gotta keep laughing, and grinning and cracking stupid jokes. Because the group probably wouldn't even talk to each other in times like this, if it wasn't for me.
Really all I wanna do is breakdown and cry. But I can't, I have to stay strong.
Jason hasn't got amnesia. He's got brain damage. And unless he's having a fit, he does know who he is, and who we are. But that's about it.
He's scared, wait, no. Scrap that. He's terrified of everything.
He bursts into random fits and seizures. Crying, screaming, cursing or just punching whatever's closest to him.
He's damaged, and he might never heal.
The guy I always looked up to, my example, my leader, my best friend... Is gone.
The first tear falls, followed by a wave of many more. And before I know it I'm balling, hardly able to breathe.
It's okay to breakdown, to let the smile fall, sometimes.
