This mess I call hair

Wish it was a lil bit fair,

Not asking for curly waves

Nor wanna look good when shaved.

Tame it with oil

It still looks spoiled,

Clean and condition it

Cut it and lock up in a crate.

Quit trimming, keep growing

Preserve it, it's still showing!

Fuss over split ends

Experiment how it bends.

Straighten or curl

Wear flowers or pearls;

Hairfalls and stray hair

How to make them disappear?

Style it and wear it down

But the cracks will make you frown,

Long twin braids and ponytails

Get hairloss and it's a fairytale!

Crown your head with a bun

While youth's there, have the fun,

First grays and panic attacks

Bleach it and there's no coming back!

Traditions among the orange glow of henna

Dye in colour varieties, if you wanna

But don't forget to take the care,

Think of old days and imagine you're there!

So this is my first time sharing a poem with so many people. Hope you like it! I just wrote this at the end of last month so it's completely new! I just came back from school and pulled my twin plaits loose, and granted freedom to my hair, while I was rubbing my head, complaining mentally why school forces us to tie our hair like this. It literally gives me a headache after I let my hair loose! Then inspiration struck me, hey, why not write a poem about it! So here it is.

I have a few questions. Is it just me does nobody wants grow their hair long and cut their hair and lock it up in a crate and then get nostalgic after touching it? Yup, definitely just me.

Love your hair and fuss about it at the same time, everyone!

Your lil girl,

MFOshin
