The PURRfect Gift (GiovanniXReader)

Your PoV

You have been dating Giovanni for a few months now and you knew allot about his likes and dislikes by now. Especially the one thing he has been dying to have. A shiny Persian.

His recent Persian had passed due to old age, and he was really beating himself up about it. Though he denied it, you knew your Gio to well to not see his pain. The sadness in his eyes when he passed the empty cat cushion by the bed. Or the vacant spot by his desk, where his Persian once sat patiently waiting for pets. Yes, a new friend was definitely needed.

You reached out to one of the friends who ran a bedding program, and they were willing to help you out. After a few more months of trial as error they finally hatched one.

When you picked it up from your friends farm, you were astounded. It was a female, calm natured, and those famous pink markings. It called happily, scampering up to you. With a grin you held up a luxury ball, kneeling down to its level. The ball touched the pokemons nose and a beam of light enveloped the Pokemon. The ball wabbled three times and clicked.

You thanked your friend with tremendous amounts of gratitude. Before taking out your (favorite flying and other type pokemon) and flew back to Viridian City. Stopping at the pokemart, you picked up a package you ordered for this occasion. Taking out your boyfriends new Pokemon, you opened the package.

Pulling out a black custom made collar, it was decorated with red R's for Team Rocket. It also came with a cute silver soothe bell on it. You put it on the adorable meowth who enjoyed it already. Prancing around you, calling happily.

Smiling you placed it back in its pokeball and put the ball in the box the collar came in. You then threw away the brown wrapping and clutched the box tightly. Making your way to the Viridian City Gym. You were nervous, hoping he would like your gift. Making your way inside you watch a trainer's Pokemon faint in front of you. A trainer was standing near you, sighing in defeat as she lost the battle. "You did well, after a little more training you might beat me." You heard your boyfriend called at the far end of the room. You watched the two trainers in the room with you approach one another. The young girl handed Giovanni his prize money, then left the gym. Leaving you and your lover behind.

Giovanni turned to you, smiling warmly as be placed his hand in his pocket. Approaching your current location, he snapped his fingers. The lights turning off and the entrance doors shutting, locking you two in. You couldn't help but smiled at the man in front of you. "Hey Gio! You closing up for the night? I got you something!" You greeted excitedly, causing your boyfriend to raise his eyebrow curiously. "Yes I had enough battling for one day. What did you get me?" He asked, now eyeing the box curiously.

You giggled. "Let's go somewhere more private first. Your going to be very excited when you find out what it is!" You sang happily. Skipping up in the air briefly, causing a chuckle from your lover. "Alright. Let's go to my office, I got a couple things to take over there anyway." He then wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer to him. As you both walked to his office. You shared content silence with him, both of you enjoying each others presence.

Once you reached his office you watched Giovanni unlock the door, allowing you walk inside with a spring in your step. He smiled at you, turning on the light to his office "my your excited about this aren't you?" You only giggled and nodded excitedly. Sitting out he couch by his desk, waiting for him to join you. You watched him with beaming (e/c) eyes, as he set something on his desk and strode over to you. Sitting beside you, an arm wrapped around you. "Now let's see this gift you've been dying to give me."

Giovanni's PoV

I watched (y/n) with beaming (e/c) eyes as she handed me the box. Almost shaking with excitement as I opened it. My smile quickly fell, as confusion replaced my expression. I picked up the luxury ball out of the box, looking back at (y/n) with a raised eye brow. She only giggled "well go on. Open the poke ball." She said excited.

I pressed the button and tossed it in the air, it opening and a beam of light materializing. The light was replaced by a-...

I froze, shock overriding my senses. A shiny meowth!? How did she?....Why did she.... She really got this for me? I looked back at my smiling lover, shock clearly visible on my face. "You.... You got me a.... A shiny Meowth? How did you get ahold of one of these? I couldn't even find one?!" Her smile widened further as she giggled. "One of my friends was willing to breed me one. It took a long time of trial and error....but it was worth it. You like it?"

I looked back at the Meowth, which meowed happily. Its soothe bell jiggling soflty. A smile slowly formed on my face as I turned to (y/n). "Like it? I love it!" I yelled, pulling her I to my lap. Hugging her tightly against my chest. I could hear her laugh against my chest, hugging me back tightly. I laughed warmly in reply, kissing her head. "Thank you (n/n). This was a PURRfect gift" I smirk as I heard her groan at my pun. Pulling away to look at me. A frown on her face.

"Don't ruin the moment Gio!" She whined. Causing me to chuckle, giving a innocent face. "What? I'm just taking every PAWsible opportunity I get. Or are you just getting hissy that I beat you to it." She buried her face in my chest again and groaned. Causing me to laugh. "Alright I'll stop!" I cooed, chuckling warmly in her ear. She lifted her head and kissed me softly. I kissed her back and then looked down at my new companion. Who was waiting patiently for my attention, I patted an empty spot on the couch beside us.

Eagerly it jumped up, snuggling beside us, I smiled before thinking of something. "You need a name little girl. How about Persephone? Sound good to you?" The Meowth called in happy agreement, causing me and my lover to smile fondly. I snuggled closer to my lover and new companion, feeling drowsy. "Sleep well dears" I yawned, hearing my lover hum contently, and Persephone purr softly beside me. I leaned back against the couch, my lover secured on my chest. I closed my eyes and sleep overtook me.
