Act on what you need rather than what you want.

You love yourself when you can turn away from something that feels good and exciting to what you need to stay strong, centred, and moving forward in your life, instead. By staying focused on what you need, you turn away from automatic behaviour patterns that get you into trouble, keep you stuck in the past, and lessen self-love.
This could mean toxic friendships or relationships. Maybe negative work spaces. For example, many young people will find them selves facing people who aren't good for their wellbeing, out of concern or insecurity.
It's something that you learn through time how to deal with, for examples, with toxic friendships- slowly step away from that person, stay away from the drama as it will only make things more negative and will not improve anyone's lives.
So no matter how exciting something may be, if it's bad for your wellbeing step away. That's all, step away from it and focus on things you need. Positive things. Things that improve how you are and how you live.
