Battle

Some words that left unsaid
Felt like a blow to the head

Now I make my way down the street
Watch the trail I make as I bleed

Red dissolved in the night looks black
I think I might not find my way back

Heart left pierced with a stake
Every thing else ... I give , you take

Memories poisoning my brain
And the unbearable pain

Making it hard for me to breathe
There where no weapons I could sheathe

Shield so week, I was protecting it
Maybe that's why I got badly hit

But now that I retreat from the site
I won't turn back to a lover sight

No matter what the world says
I don't want no shinny rays

Me and my moment of tranquil
Together after a lost battle
