Tobias POV
When I get on the train, immediately Eric comes up to me. "Congratulations! You finally got yourself a girlfriend. Too bad it's against the rules to date an initiate. And I have a feeling that she's not just a 'foolish girl'. Did you really reject her when she 'tried to kiss you?' Because I think that you were acting."
"First off, she isn't an initiate anymore. She's a dauntless member. Second of all, she was foolish. She tried to kiss me, I rejected her. I realized, at the ceremony that I actually liked her back, and we kissed. It was as much shock for me as it was for anyone."
"Fine... But don't think I won't be watching you." Eric says to me. "And just because I have gotten a promotion doesn't mean I can't ruin your life." He ends nastily. I almost laugh that he thinks he was promoted.
"How great." I murmur.
