"kennedy, can you come home, we need to talk" jay says to me through the phone "sure i'll be there in a minute" he sounds worried

i kiss ethan and say "jay needs me home, i'll call you later baby" he smiles and nods and i walk down the hall to my apartment and i call for jay "in here" he says from his room

i walk in and he's sitting on the floor with his head in his hands "kennedy, i don't know what to do" he says "what talk to me jay" i say sitting next to him

"you know that girl i was seeing last month, mary?" i nod in response "yeah" he sighs "well she just called me and she's pregnant and it's mine" i smile "is she gonna keep it" i ask "yeah and she wants me to help and obviously i am but i'm stressed the fuck out, am i even ready to be a dad?"

"jay, you say that now but once the baby is here you'll be so excited" he nods "i am excited but what if the kid hates me" i laugh "who could hate you" he smiles "are you guys gonna try and get back together" i ask him rubbing his back "i don't know maybe"

"do i have to move out" he looks up at me "i mean you can stay for a while until the baby gets big enough to have their own room" i sigh "i'll probably just move in with the twins so i won't be too far and i'll help whenever you need me to" he smiles and lays his head on my shoulder "i appreciate you so much kenny"

i smile at my brother "i love you jay" i say to my brother "i love you too ken"

"kennedy this is mary, the girl who's pregnant with my kid" he says introducing me to his baby mom, she laughs at his comment "hi i'm mary, it's nice to finally meet you" the hispanic girl says to me "nice to meet you too" i smile shaking her hand. she's pretty, this kid is going to be so cute

we are at some cute little restaurant for lunch and i drop the bomb on them "are you guys going to get back together or whatever" they look at each other "we were never official, just a hookup here and there but we're going to try it out but if it don't work out we'll do everything we can to make this baby happy" jay says and looks at mary, they're so cute

"aww, when do you find out the gender" i ask mary "i'm about a month and a half right now so in like another month and a half ish" i smile "i'm so excited for you guys" jay smiles and looks at mary, awe he really likes her "when are you due" i ask "september 20th"
